Really great video but the stealth element i'm not too sure off yet, same thing goes for co op. But if the campaign is just as good as the first ones i'm already sold

Who says they don't have any exclusives then.  This really looks stunning.

People who are either too poor to get a ps3, microsoft employees and angry fanboys.  nod

Why will you never get a ps3 ?   icon_cry

What a worthless post.  I have a PS3 and I didn't enjoy Uncharted 1 so I will pass on the sequel.  I will say the graphics are amazing though.

hunh?...

eco-l says he won't ever be getting a ps3. he then says that he's heard/read that the ps3 has no exclusives, which surprises him seeing how good uncharted 2 looks. maggot says the 'no exclusives' thing is bullshit, & then asks eco-l why he won't be getting a ps3 (to which eco-l eventually replies 'my wife')...

so - what, exactly, makes this post more worthless than any other number of other posts/exchanges up here? i'm thinking maybe you've misread it?...

I think I may have misread it.  I was thinking he said the only people that don't like Uncharted 2 are people who are either too poor to get a ps3, microsoft employees and angry fanboys.  My bad.

Played the Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo for about an hour, and so far I like what I see.   There's a good selection of weapons (some of which I'm sure will spoil parts of the single player game), the ducking/diving/hiding combat feels great against other players, and there seems to be a nice progression system in place ala COD4 or Killzone 2 (it looks like the buffers it gives you are disabled in the beta).  Animation is top notch as expected - only real complaint I have is the melee attacks which consist of a forearm shiver and that's about it (where did all the great melee attacks from single player go?).

Bah - why is this only NA and Canada??? And Fileplanet is pure idiocy in sending me that code mail, and when I go to their site, its NA and Canada only? Thats just wrong!!

Hope you guys enjoy the MP, sure looks cool! Tell me all about it! NOW! :-)

The melee combat system they used in single player really won't work in mutliplayer.

However, there's a short section of co-op available to you in the beta which is very, very fun.  I haven't tried the multiplayer yet but will.

I'm impressed at how cool they managed to make the trailer without filling it up with standard trailer-music. In fact, most of it didn't have any music at all. That they're able to do that and still make such an impression is a very, very good sign. smile

Melee seems to be in for co-op.  I did a flying kick against a baddie and also the standard punch combo.

Played some beta and it's amazing as expected.  The environments are gorgeous and it's Uncharted and new!!  Controls feel great and the games were fun.  I worry about the jump roll though, I hope they put some restrictions on that so it does not become the new bunny hop.

Yeah I don't know if it's just because I've played Uncharted a billion times and my mind is playing tricks on me, but the controls in the beta seemed much tighter than the original game.  Blind firing seemed more accurate as well.

And unless they tweak it later, enemies go down in a lot less hits than the original.

I've got so many games in my backlog that I hardly ever buy new releases. I usually start looking considering a game when it hits the $30 mark. I can't remember the last time I got excited about a trailer or a new release.

That, however, was over the top awesome. I'll probably wait a day or two for impressions, but if they're good, I'm all over this. That trailer totally rocked. After having seen it, my only hope is that the game has enough meat/length to it.

Super.  The original is one of the few games I wish was just a tad longer.

I just played 1 round of the MP demo and that actually surpassed my expectations.  I'm not much (at all, really) of a console MP gamer, but I can see myself playing this a bit.

There are some issues with the versus multiplayer, like hit detection versus cover protection, and more.  Had a situation where I had the high ground against someone with a FAL.  I was in cover and somehow he was still able to shoot up at me and hit me over the cover, even though I had the height advantage.

Other things that Gears 1-2 dealt with such as when you get in cover, how much of you should be exposed to the enemy.

I also wish there was a short revive period, again like Gears, where you could revive a downed teammate like in co-op.  Who knows, maybe it'll be a boost/perk.

Still, it's really fun.

I'm much more interested in single player but it looks like multiplayer will be pretty good.  They are blatantly ripping off some things from COD4 and other games (perks, level up, party mode) which I think is a great thing.  I wish more companies were doing this (Vegas 2 MP failed because it didn't).

Played a bunch more MP and it's really fun.  There's only a few perks implemented it seems, at this time.  I'm only level 8 so that might be it.  Plunder mode is much more enjoyable to me than regular DM (for me at least).  I expect after a couple weeks they'll open up the beta more, so others that didn't get in from Qore or inFamous will be able to play.

I got it from being a G.A.P. member.  I didn't apply or buy Qore or inFamous.  I just looked in my email the other day and there it was.  I played a bit last night and enjoyed it.

Actually, enemies that look like they should go down in fewer hits do so.  However, you do meet heavily armored guys (think more armor than Army of Two) that take a lot of bullets to bring down.  All enemies seem to have varying levels of armor now, there's also medium armored guys that definitely take a bit more punishment, but aren't walking tanks like the heavily armed bosses.  The key is, as above, they look like they should take that much damage to bring down, which makes it easier suspend disbelief at how many bullets they soak up.

Thanks for the spoiler warning, allowed me to watch it without worry.  I shut it off well before that just in case.

They described that segment in interviews so most of it's no biggy.

But wow, yeah, Uncharted 2 looks amazing.  The helicopter chase through the building segment looked great in an action movie way, but this segment also shows a lot of drama and character moments.

One concern though is that the enemies don't seem to have as much variety in their animations when they pop out to attack.  If you recall in Uncharted 1, they would pop out from cover in all sorts of crazy ways.  On the other hand, these are military types, and those were pirates so it wouldn't quite fit.

I got to play a bunch of the new Gold Rush mode.  It's very fun and a great alternative when you just want to jump into a game with friends and shoot stuff, but without the competitiveness of mutliplayer, or a story objectives of mission based co-op.

The game's graphics have also been improved since the beta, it's a subtle improvement but things like lighting are a noticeably better.

There are more modes than what's been shown as the guy at the show confirmed.  No idea what those are, but we've already got two co-op modes, the next will likely be another versus mode.
