Not any more it isn't!!

Conrats!

I'd say to pick up PGR2 if racing interests you at all.

Be sure to use the 2 month Live card before you use the 12 month card, to make sure you get both. I think the 2 month cards are only good for newbies, so use that, and when it gets close to expiring, do the 12 month card.

Must haves:

Chronicles of Riddick

if you like racing: Project Gotham 2, and Rallisport Challenge 2, both are under $20 now.

X-Men Legends ($37 at Best Buy this week)

Quick, play Halo if you haven't already on the PC.  And welcome to fold.  We'll be looking for you on Live.

Star Wars:  Knights of the Old Republic!

An absolute must have.  Quick.  You have less than one month to play it before the sequel arrives!

Damn When I was setting up it ask for credit card # so I figured it would charge me after the 2 months so I put the 12 month one in instead and figured at the end of it I can use the 2 month card. It did how ever ask for the CC on the 12 month setup.

I will give it to my brother for Xmas

I played knight of the old republic on my brothers Box and loved it never got it for pc.
I own burnout 3 for PS2, its voted best system for it.
may however trade SW:BF from ps2 to xbox, what do you all think?

I did play halo but was turned off when I got to the truck crossing the bridge mission 4X4 turn off. I could not drive the damn thing. I will give Halo 2 a try.

I will love to join you all on live just as soon as I figure out how the thing works.
I notice the Xbox has like a 50million block memory thing why would I need a memory card?

Live will ask for a CC# no matter which route you take.

What do you mean? If you got signed up on Live, and you now have an active account, it should just work automatically. If you mean how the Friends list works, it's easy. Just click on Friends, then Add Friend, and add the gamertag of the person you want on your list. Once you get a list built up, you can go to your Friends list and see who's online, send & receive invites, send voice mail, etc.

Also, each individual "Live aware" game you have will have a Live section in it's menu, allowing you to do all the same stuff, from within the game, rather than at the Dashboard menu. Let me know if you have any other Live questions.

Nope, you do not need a memory card at all. The only reason you would need one, is if you wanted to back up your saves, or to transfer your saves from one Xbox to another (like taking your save game to a friend's house). You can also get a device called an Action Replay, that comes with an 8 mb memory card, that will allow you to put your saves on your PC, download saves from the internet ("power saves" with all levels, weapons, cars, whatever, enabled. cheats if you will)

You only need a memory card to transfer saves between Xboxes.

You will never fill up your XBox hard drive.  Ever.  I swear.  My roommate has ripped tons of music CDs to his drive as well as many of the available downloads (which are actually quite small) and it still gives the standard 50,000+ blocks free.  On an 8-10 Gig hard drive, those 3-15 MB Live downloads are teeny tiny, so have no worries.

And of course any of the official Live content packs are totally safe to download.
