will this live up to Tron 2.0?  one can hope, but it did set the bar rather high for a Tron game.

I actually liked Tron Killer App for GBA as much as 2.0 for PC, despite the brutal difficulty of the later stages. But honestly any new Tron is good news IMO. I really like the look so far and think it catpures the feel of the original movie nicely, but I'm betting it's going to met with complaints about bland graphics and colors by a lot of n00b players and reviewers.

Tron2.0 was awesome and felt like a family friendly (albeit simplified) System Shock 2.  This looks pretty but doesn't look like it will include any of the things that made 2.0 special.

It was a shame so few people bought the original game. I remember wanting to do some multiplayer but finding generally nobody to play it with online.

sad but true.  2.0 was such a fun game at the time.  agree on the system shock comparison.

I wish this was a sequel to TRON 2.0,  but it looks more like a sequel to any random third-person action game with TRON stylings.

I don't know, the MP looks like it might be fun, especially the light cycles portion.

Oh my. It sounds like maybe I should've asked for another game by a defunct dev for Xmas... icon_razz

Tron Evolution (PC) review (29/100)
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/02/12/tron-evolution-review/
Quote
The graphics are miserable in their monotonous grey-blue dreariness, in a game that when its working at best offers mediocre combat and ludicrously repetitive platforming. But the English language has yet to develop words rude enough to describe the abysmal light cycle sequences, or hilariously crap tank sections. The whole thing is a load of dreary old parp.
Apparently the reviewer couldn't get the game to recognize an XBox360 controller, and the key/mouse controls are apparently a mess.

OTOH, I didn't have to pay for it, so that's a good thing, right?  icon_smile
