Torchlight Pretty "pause mode" Screenshots Thread [56k warning]

I'm getting carried away now that I know Torchlight's Pause Mode (ENTER Key) spins the camera slowly to give you some really awesome screenshot angles. It's a great way to capture the skills effects in action (or just to get closer screenies of your characters).

I thought it might be worth a separate thread.  

Here's a few examples of Pause Mode. I've found it cool just to fire things off in town and hit Enter quickly...





Lightning bomb. I found it useful early, not using much late.

The rifle's the unique Ice Dragonne, by far the most wonderfully ridiculous weapon I've ever seen in a game.

is there a SS hotkey? I'd rather not prtscrn since it takes my 2nd monitor too and cropping is annoying

I use the free version of the FRAPS frame rate utility (http://www.fraps.com/). I actually don't use it for FPS numbers anymore, just for its screenshots (saved as one of 4 selectable formats) and taking gameplay movies (though the free version severely limits the length). I really oughta register it at some point.

FRAPS lets you assign the screenshot and movie-recording keys to any key you like (I use the + key on numeric keypad for screenies fwiw). It has a low footprint and doesn't have any discernible impact on performance afik.

I gotta go eat, do laundry etc.  Hope to see others' splashy pix later. I haven't put much time in with the Alchemist and I'd love to see his handiwork in pause mode.

Shift+F9 is the default command for screen shots.

Got a nice rare ballista crossbow. It seems to have a different graphic than regular ballistas (the Steampunk look would have fit in well in Silverfall). A good mix of physical and electrical damage, but I need to do some Enchanting of it (my first try failed).

These screens do a good job showing just how busy the screen can get. Sometimes I have a heck of a time figuring out what's going on. Can you imagine how nuts it would be if the game DID have multiplayer

My pet summons zombies (3) and Skeleton Warriors (up to 2 at a time). It gets pretty amusing when I actually am battling enemy zombies or skeleton warriors (there's no friendly fire - just sometimes I find myself trying to click repeatedly on a friendly pet). I wouldn't be surprised if the MMO version does something to differentiate players (maybe put a colorful circle around a character's feet or something).

From zoomed out overhead, it's generally easier to see what's going on. I spend a lot of time backtracking my Vanquisher, sometimes just so I can keep a clear view of what to target.
