Quote from: "Zekester"
-Alpha Centauri
-Duke Nukem 3D

Just update the graphics for these, and i'd re-buy them.

There is a graphical remake of a sort for Duke nukem 3d. Higher resolution etc. Check the forums over at 3drealms.

Didnt someone just do a remake of Maniac Mansion?  It wasnt commercial, but from what i recall it was some high quality freeware (they were concerned about getting sued making a commercial game, but figured not charging would be less bad).

I would like to see the DOS game Twilight 2000 redone using today's graphics fully utilizing a shiny 3D engine . I really loved that game.

Tie Fighters collectors edition with the IDW2: EoC flight model and graphics.

Nethak

Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 with ultra nice sharp 3d characters and modeling but still the fantastical backgrounds not in 3d. (similar to sacred's looks only much more complex 3d animations, models, and textures.

Dark Forces (think Half life 3 but Dark Forces instead).

And dun dun dun: King's Quest from my PCjr days as a 3rd person action adventure.

And, as a 6th, i'll put in an honorable mention for M.A.X. too.  That one deserves a going back to.

Nobunaga's Ambition
Space Hulk
Star Control II
Star Flight II
TIE Fighter
Wing Commander III

Shogun: Total War on the R:TW engine.
I'd love to see X-Com with a graphical overhaul.

Semaj, I love the idea of a new Baseball Stars!  Don't even care about the MLB license since the game was all about making the team and players!  Another NES baseball game I loved was Dusty Diamond All-Star Softball.

I'm sure there are more (Dune II, which was already done -- do it again!).  Desert Commander on the NES...  A Boy and His Blob...

I know this is like from forever ago....  BUT:

Nobunaga's Ambition = ROTTK in Japan

And ROTTK is on Version 10....
Released in 2005

(I loved Nobunaga's Ambition smile )

A GREAT remake would be:

Speedball 2: The Remake.

-Character stats
-Creat your own teams
-Special moves
-Improved Graphics  (Dont screw with the overhead view though)

--etc etc...

Just checking out some old posts...  I love these topics.

I think a port of Speedball 2 was released on the GBA.

That was one of the greatest games of all time.
