Did anyone give it a go for the Wii?   I'm one of the very few who really really liked Downhill Jam and was hoping Proving Ground was similar.   Anyone played this one and can tell me a bit about the gameplay compared to Downhill Jam?

I read the GT review and seemed to be received ok.   Anyone else?

I loved Downhill Jam, too.  The reviews haven't been great for the Wii version.  IGN just slammed it with a 4.0, saying it would have been a decent game if the controls worked, but they don't.  Gamespot didn't fare much better with a 5.0 saying, "This version of Proving Ground makes it pretty clear that the priority for the Tony Hawk series is not on this platform."

"The cause of death was asphyxiation, or smothering, in layman's terms."

"What does 'layman's terms' mean?"

I had a hell of a time with the controls, and the graphics were an issue even for Wii. Honestly, it was my first experience with the TH series, but it drove me mad. The PS2 version made me realize a bit more what the game can do with decent control set.
