Wow.  I thought the graphics looked okay on the demo I downloaded for the 360 of the new Lara Croft game (and I'm glad that I don't have to be ashamed to look forward to a Tomb Raider game anymore), but the actual graphics seem much, much better than that.  Better than I remember the PC demo looking, even.

The demo also didn't have the hidden artifacts.  There are multiple, easy to find bronze, a few hidden silvers and one hard to get gold (I haven't gotten it yet) on the first level, with a convenient checklist.  I assume it's the same for the others.

There's also a jaguar that suprised me, 'cause he wasn't in the PC or 360 versions of the demo.

I'm very excited about this game.  It's been so sad to see such a fantastic property ruined over so many years, but if all the bad games led to this great one, I'm okay with that.

I have no doubt that the game will be a blast but a 6-7 hour max platformer is flat out NOT worth $60+ dollars.    But I agree about the graphics on the 360 version.  Much nicer than the pc demo imo.  What I couldn't not get past for all the time I spent staring at it was the water effects.  The roaring river water was astounding looking.

Is the framerate any better than it was in the demo?

Seems to be.  I remember the framerate made me say, "Uh oh" in the demo.  I haven't noticed anything yet and I've basically played the demo all the way through.  I have heard there are some moments of slowdown, though.

mikeg, have you played the 360 game or just the demo?

I played both the pc and the 360 demos and quite frankly I liked the 360 graphics more.  As for controls I have to admit that I like the pc better.  A minor dilemma.  But not really as I will only be renting.  Can't wait for Blockbuster to get it.  Should be in everywhere by Friday they say.

And the graphics seem even better in the full game.
