Ive been watching the GodFather remastered on AMC Monday night and it got me Jonesing to play a gangster game. Gangsters came to mind, I searched Stem and gamefly (new PC thing they got now) nothing. I checked my back log and behold I still got my gangsters2 CD, no product Key needed. I ve been playing the hell out of it all night, I forgot how good that game was. Why they never made a 3rd version.
What was the last throwback you played?

GoG does have Mob Rule and Gangland if someone else is looking to scratch that itch.  Of course, the two Mafia games or the two Godfather games might work as well.

I've been alternating between Homeworld 2 and Star Wars: Empire at War recently.

My kids have been playing Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat on the Gamecube.  They really enjoy the bongos.  They're now better at the game than I ever was.
