A note to future BioShockers from Ken Levine
If you're going to buy the game this week, I highly recommend you stay away from any forums that might have spoilers until you play the game through. Our goal in making the game was to thrill and, often, surprise you.
Please don't ruin other people's experience by revealing secrets in unmarked threads, and if you want to enjoy the game to its fullest, stay away from any threads that might ruin the fun for you. With a game like BioShock, it will really make a difference.

I've been lucky to avoid any real spoiler type info. I've even avoided the demo so as to not spoil the opening. Tomorrow  is almost here! |

Yes, I also skipped the art book spoilers, the demo and ignored threads about Bioshock in general just to have it completely fresh.

I too have been in a media blackout about this game- not as blacked out as Mass Effect, but pretty close. I did play the first bit of the demo, but don't feel that that has ruined anything- in fact it has amped up my expectation!

It don't tell you crap in the demo. The demo IMO was just to get a feel of the play style. I agree, but in the Darkness BOOM you just had the powers... |

I've read every review I could find in order to learn just what makes this game so highly anticipated, and fortunately every one of those review sites was mindful and careful not to give away any spoilers. I'm glad because up until recently I had zero interest in the game and now tomorrow can't come soon enough. I played some of the demo at a friend's place yesterday and got terribly immersed in seconds, but despite my enjoyment I turned off the demo immediately so as not to spoil a single thing in the game.
Hell, I'm buying Bioshock tomorrow and I don't even have a working 360 back yet.

i also stopped looking at the art book after the first few pages. damned if i didn't already spoil myself by doing it though. if you look, go no further than the logo pages. the big daddy evolution was pretty cool though.
it seems half of the neogaf members are missing due to a blackout. with so many people there already playing the game, you could find stuff out very easy.
don't worry peterock, just grab some random juice and try it out. you won't even need a 360 to experience bioshock. the hallucinations will do all the work.
