It's... The Weekend Playlist.. pushing your gaming hobby since (date redacted by government agency). My day today is superb busy, so let's skip the historical factoid.
What will be your gaming pleasure? For me?..... Nada! Nothing! I'm hitting the road and spending a couple of days in NYC for some R&R. How about you?

I need to go by the FedEx location and pick up the laptop shipped by the client of my new employer. I am looking at either seeing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and/or going to a blued club with the GF.
Gamewise, I dunno. Nothing's got its hooks in me at the moment.

Glad I could help. It really is a fun little game if you get into the setting instead of just waiting for the alert messages.

Maybe some D3, maybe some Lollipop Chainsaw, maybe some Magic the Gathering on iPad (never played MTG before, but everyone seems to be raving about this version)...or maybe something complete different.

BF3 - Trying out the hardcore modes lately. Actually not that bad. I play the CoD ones in HC a lot but never really tried this before. Have one more assignment to complete for the MTAR and those will be done. Kinda liking the new content so far. Too Human - still playing through this slowly.
May fire Red Dead back up to try for the 100% redeemed at some point.

Was previously playing Witcher. Then detoured a bit with Dayz mod for Arma2. Went back to Witcher but have a FPS itch so dug deep into the backlog and started Jedi Acadamy.

D3. The first boss in Act IV laid the smack down on my Barbarian a few days ago. Might go do some grinding. I have Dragon's Dogma but it's been a slow start. Might try to jump back in.

I got tired of waiting Legend of Grimrock to come out on iPad, so I started it on PC. It's fun, but some of the puzzles can be infuriating and I'm not crazy about the idea of having to search every single wall panel for secret switches and such. We'll see how long it keeps my attention.
Also messed around with MtG on iPad. Went through the tutorial a couple times, but I don't really get it yet. Lost the first battle 3 times now, I can't seem to get the hang of how things work. I'll do summons or spells and they never seem to work out like I expected. I'm sure it's just a case of spending some time figuring out how it works.

For what it's worth, there's a rumor that GameStop is planning to burn off their stock of Sony 3D Displays for about $199 this Wednesday. What motivated her to start playing a PS2-era RPG in 2012? -Autistic Angel

I can confirm that rumor (the price part at least) is true (OK, after looking at their site I think the part about burning off the stock is true too since the display isn't available online) What motivated her to start playing a PS2-era RPG in 2012? -Autistic Angel she loves the series and replays it every couple of years. it actually doesn't look as bad as I expected it to on a 46" TV.

What motivated her to start playing a PS2-era RPG in 2012? It's not like there's a whole lot of good JRPGs from this generation to choose from.

It's not like there's a whole lot of good JRPGs from this generation to choose from. True, but if someone were jonesing for a JRPG from last generation, I wouldn't have pegged Xenosaga II as the natural go-to choice. Isn't it generally considered the low point of its series? I'm genuinely asking: I haven't played any of them. Either way, if she replays the whole trilogy every few years, I can understand why she'd want to go through the whole thing rather than skip the middle chapter. I've played Mass Effect something like four times and that's definitely the low point of its trilogy. -Autistic Angel

I popped in LEGO Batman and made it through the first mission. I encountered a bug before the Clayface fight. I had switched to Robin after entering a car in the showroom, and then entered the doorway that was the transition to the boss fight. Batman was stuck in the car and I was unable to switch to him to get him out. Makes it hard when you need his BatBomber suit to get through the cage. I had to start over and re-play the mission.

Oh man, I hit that *exact* same bug when I first started playing Lego Batman. Left a nasty first impression, but it turned out to be the only glitch that snagged me in the entire game. -Autistic Angel

I've had two very similar issues at other points in the game. At one point Robin got stuck behind a moving ladder and I couldn't get him out, and then later on I was going to jump into a teacup ride with Batman and he just paused after I hit the button and nothing I did could get him to move again or switch me to Robin. Fun game, but losing progress to glitches like this really kills my enthusiasm.

And as mentioned above, I also played a bit of LEGO Batman 2, enjoying the open world bits and cursing the static camera in levels like always.
