It's!!!... The Weekend Playlist.. pushing your gaming hobby since 1961, the year in which one of the most controversial trials of the last century took place in Jerusalem, Israel. On April 11, 1961, Adolf Eichmann, Nazi war criminal, was put on trial. He had been living under a new name in Argentina after WWII, where he was tracked down by Israeli intelligence agents in 1960. The trial attracted worlwide attention for over 14 weeks, with over 1500 documents entered into evidence and 100 witnesses who testified that Eichmann was one of the chief engineers of the Holocaust. Eichmann was sentenced to death on December 15th and hanged to death this very same weekend on May 31st, 1962. Eichmann was quoted in 1945 as having said: ""I will leap into my grave laughing because the feeling that I have five million human beings on my conscience is for me a source of extraordinary satisfaction." He's also the prime example of the theory of the 'banality of evil', which states that the men responsible for the Holocaust were 'normal' and not psychopaths. The vast majority of Nazi war criminals defended themselves by stating they were simply following orders.

Changing gears: So what will be your gaming pleasure this weekend? Myself, I will be working catering gigs all weekend, so any time I may have will go to Diablo III and League Of Legends. How about you?

Well, I know Max Payne 3 is finally out for PC, but I'm still wanting to play more Dragon's Dogma, so we'll see where my time goes.

I'm picking up Dragon's Dogma this afternoon.  Will probably spend some time with Diablo III as well.

Read Dead Redemption 360 - Closing in on the end of this finally. Not sure I will do any of the MP stuff for achievements but I may try it out for a couple low hangers.
MW3
Morrowind PC

Rainy here all weekend and with nothing else going on I want to get some time in.

Is that the special Librarian DLC?

I'm back to having gamer ADD. My boot drive has been returned and the system is being hammered back into shape.  They sent me a drive by a different mfg, so here's hoping that I have no more issues.

It's like a zombie mode but instead it's sexy librarians.

I got some Bastion in last night.  Wanted to play Worms, but all the freebie jockies are apparently locking the game up.

Was expecting to spend most of the weekend with Dragon's Dogma, but put in a couple hours and didn't care for it much.  Instead, I went back to one that had been on my "rainy day" list for a few months, Final Fantasy XIII-2.  I got about 4 hours into FF XIII-2 when it first came out, but without any sort of a guide, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was totally gimping my characters (which I totally was).  Picked up a guide on the cheap, and now that the leveling and "hidden objects" mechanic make sense, I'm having an absolute blast with it.  Put in 6 hours just today, and I'm sure there will a few more to come tomorrow.  Spent a little time with D3 as well, but I think I'm probably done with that for a while.

Gratch, Tom Chick hated Dragon's Dogma at first, too.  After putting more time into understanding the game's focus on risky combat and exploration, he warmed to it quite a bit.

Do you really want to be known as the gamer who gave up playing a game he didn't enjoy just so he could play something else that he did?

I'm sure I'll go back to DD, but i need to wait for when i can actually devote some dedicated time into figuring it out.  Got a pretty crazy travel schedule coming up, and DD doesn't sound like a good candidate for a "play for an hour a week" type of game.

Besides, FF XIII-2 is really scratching my JRPG itch right now. smile

I've been hoping to get some Sins of a Solar Empire in, but I've only been playing Diablo 3.  I think I just want to see how the story ends (just finished Act 3 last night).

Played a few hours of Dragon's Dogma and D3 this weekend.  Loving both of them can be hard as I want to play both.  It's been fun to see how my demon hunter compares to the barbarian.

Played nothing but D3.  I will stick with that until Civilization V expansion comes out.

Well, I did watch the first (unskippable) cutscene in Max Payne 3 before getting to the menus, but other than that it's been all Dragon's Dogma.

Finished D3, and finally got back to my SoaSe game last night at 11.  4.5 hours later I had conquered the star system (first win in a game with a medium ai) and was wondering wtf I was doing that for on a school night...

Finished the SP of BF3. Not as bad as people made it out to be. Revolutionary? No, but it entertained me for a few hours.
