It's!!!!..... The Weekend Playlist, pushing your gaming hobby since 1937, the year in which one of literature's most influential horror writers passed away. He's known for having written goundbtreaking terrifying stories like 'The Call Of Cthulhu', 'The Dunwich Horror', and novellas like 'At The Mountains Of Madness'. He created the Cthulhu mythos and wrote the book known as the Necronomicon. He was.. H.P. Lovecraft, who died in Rhode Island on March 15, 1937.

So what will be your gaming pleasure? I'm surely be playing my League Of Legends and peppering my weekend with some other game, perhaps more Ico/Shadow Of The Colossus. How about you?

Red Dead Redemption on the 360.  I've gotten to the point in the story I stalled out at before, and I seem to be doing the same thing again but I'm going to soldier on.

hoping for more time with Rage.  will be trying out the ork campaign in dow2 Retribution.

not sure if I want to spend more time with Dead Island.  finished the game and got most of the low hanging fruit achievements.  if i push on to the rest I risk burning out on the game.

Batman:AA - PS3 - Not to get ready for the next one just to knock this off my playing list. I never seemed to get into it as much as most people for some reason. Neat and good presentation but I guess I'm just not a big enough fan.
Halo: Reach - Working on getting my last 2 achievements to get 100%. The last Title Update reinstated Stockpile back in the playlist so I can keep trying for that one. Otherwise I'm gonna be sticking people with nades before I die.

Dunno what else. Want to start something that I can finish before BF3 arrives and takes my time until MW3. Wasn't a huge fan of the beta but I hope the full is better... CoD I can pretty much count on being the same for good or bad.

Forza 4, Orcs Must Die, and then we'll see.  I think I might be putting together a "spare parts" PC for my Dad, so if I do I'm sure that will take considerable time.

I just started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time, and am completely enamored by this show.  I think that any spare time I have will most likely be spent with Ms. Summers, Giles, Willow, Xander, and Angel.

I'm also debating on whether or not to pick up HOMM 6.  The lack of even a single English review is somewhat concerning to me.

Big Halloween softball tournament today, then maybe a little Black Ops later tonight if I'm not completely fried after 5+ hours of competitive softball.  Although I'm really tempted to find a used copy of Arkham Asylum while I contemplate picking up a copy of Arkham City next week.  Won't know until later tonight.  I may just want a hot shower, a pizza, and a bunch of cold beers.

if you become a big fan you could track down the 2 XBox games for Buffy-  they're backward compatible.  the first game takes place in the third season, while Chaos Bleeds is set in the fifth.

apparently not trying the ork campaign after all as the DoW2 R demo is last stand only.

Took 3rd in the tournament.  Won $50 toward our next tournament and T-shirts.  At least it's something.  But, because we played 6 straight hours of competitive softball in 100+ degree heat I've got nothing left for gaming.  Time for a number of cold beers and some college football.  With maybe a nap thrown in there.  And lots of Aleve.

first few seasons were meh cause I hated the HS bullshit, but after that for about 3 season it's pretty good.

Angel is the superior show starting in S2 though. so watch that next if you haven't seen it. I would still watch the first season, it's still pretty good. But they don't have the full crew until about S2-S3'ish.

Rage and Dark Souls. We just stepped up to 2010 by purchasing a 360 slim this weekend. I couldn't install anything on the old one. It had less free space than my freaking cell phone.

I honestly didn't get any gaming in.  The extent of my console usage was watching the highlight version of Friday's Sabres game on Saturday since I'd already seen the score and watching the full Saturday game on Sunday morning, as I'd turned off score alerts.

Oh, and using the DVD functionality to watch In Bruges again

That movie is a good recommendation to anyone that doesn't think Colin Farrell can act.  And he's going to be Quaid in the new Total recall film.

IN!!

He's also absolutely excellent in Tigerland, one of the rare good Schumacher films.  One of my favorite Colin Farrell films outside of In Bruges.  Although he delivered a quality performance in The Recruit as well, and I've also heard that he was perfect for the vampire role in the Fright Night remake.  I've never found him to be a bad actor, and he's certainly played some fantastic roles over the years.
