Its!!.... The Weekend Playlist, boistering your gaming hobby since 1957, a year in which many notable personalities were born. 1957 births include: Both Matt Lauer and Kathie Couric from the Today Show. Filmmakers Spike Lee and Ethan Cohen from the Cohen Bros. Actors Daniel Day Lewis, Luis Guzman (from PT Anderson's films), Steve Buscemi, and Frances McDormand.. who married Ethan Cohen's brother, Joel. Comedians Dennis Leary, Stephen Fry, Ray Romano, Fran Drescher and the deceased Bernie Mac were also born this year. For Trekkies, two of the leads from 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', Levar Burton and Denise Crosby were beamed into this world that year. Two Pixar directors, John Lassetter and Brad Bird, had their life animated this year. Dan Castallenate said Homer Simpson's 'D'uh' for the first time here and Scott Adamas, 'Dilbert' cartoonist, made his first doodle. Musicians Sid Vicious, Nick Cave and Shane McGowan joined the band of the living in this year. And.. of all people... the face of evil himself, yes, Osama Bin Laden, was likely born in a dark cave back in March 10th, 1957.. where he lives to this day!
So what will be your gaming pleasure?
For me.. I finished my latest film project.. so I get to enjoy a 3-day gaming weekend! Just pulled the trigger on Civilization V.. and will be kickstarting my addiction to League Of Legends. Perhaps I'll also whip out my DS and continue with a bit of Dragon Quest IX.

this weekend is all about clearing out my 360 backlog as I start deciding if a game is worth keeping until I finish it or if it goes in for trade. I'm giving Alan Wake it's final final shot, then moving on to Transformers, Darksiders, Nier, Resonance of Fate, Crackdown 2, and finally Red Dead Redemption.

LEGO Rock Band and an attempt to convince myself to play Saboteur or send it back to GameFly, while I try not to anticipate delivery of Medal of Honor on Tuesday.

In no particular order if I have some time:
BC2 360 - Still trying to get the last of my achievements for this in MP. Demo2.0 kills are slow getting though. Dead Space 360 - Finally getting back to this one after stalling on a boss area. Reach MP 360 - Fun but I think I've outgrown the Halo styling of MP.
Need to finish Dead Space sometime soon so I can move onto something else from the backlog.

I might fire up halo reach and see if any of the challenges look fun or doable but it seems most of my friends list has moved on. I will continue on with scott pilgram until I finish it then go back to enslaved and dead rising 2 to see if I should keep them or send them back.

Well, that was confusing - it's Friday already? Really? I almost started my days-late rundown of what I played last weekend, when I thought to check today's date. You already know the answer anyway, sigh... Final Fantasy IX (yes, I do take forever to finish a game.) I predict that I'll get a few hours in tonight, not too much on Saturday, but lots on Sunday. Now, only time will tell - maybe I'll even make it to Disc 4!

Nier, and maybe some Halo Reach.
I've actually been thinking about running through Nier for a third time. Such an awesome, awesome game. I'll be spending some time with Final Fantasy XIV Online. It's getting completely trashed by the MMO crowd, but I'm actually really enjoying it. I guess not have any real MMO experience to compare it to makes the game look better than it should.

Finally finished Halo Reach on heroic. Probably my favorite single player Halo game since the original. Although I thought the ending came kind of suddenly. Now the question is do I dip my toes into the online multiplayer?

hit a wall in scott pilgrim (last damn boss, wth!?) so i have resorted to farming for money. back into enslaved and i am working my way through (more of a slog really) and at least i have been able to progress in the story. almost 2/3rds finished and hope to have it mostly done by the time moh arrives.
didn't touch dr2 and i am not really inclined to go back. it's my anti-game. everything i should love but just can't get past the annoyances.

Restarted ODST on Legendary since I did Heroic my first time through. Played a little BC2 and Reach but that's about it for gaming.

As usual, my weekend success-or-failure report doesn't arrive until half way to the next weekend, but oh well: Friday, I happened to read something about Arcania, and I ended up playing a few hours of the demo (I liked it somewhat , but I don't think it will be a keeper without improvements.) I'll wait to see if there is any Forum Effect on the finished game. I thought I'd get little time to game on Saturday, and lots on Sunday - but Saturday I spent most of the day on FFIX. I tried to sweep up some loose ends, so I never got to Disc 4, though Metal assures me I'm pretty close to that. And Sunday - and Monday - was a total bust, which I didn't expect. Is it Friday yet?
