It's... The Weekend Playlist..making sure you game since 1983, a year in which the world was shocked by the assasination of one Benigno Aquino Jr, a Philliphines senator who spoke loudly against the dictatorship of Ferninand Marcos, who made his way back home after 3 years exile on August 21, 1983. He had been told that if he ever returned, he would be killed. After spending his time in exile telling the world about the injustices of Marcos' regime, he made the courageous but foolish decision to return to his homeland. Aquino kept his travel plans as secret as possible. But, as soon as his plane landed on the Philliphines, he was arrested by military police and summarily executed. In his last statement, he stated all he wanted to do was talk sense into Ferninand Marcos:  "I have returned to join the ranks of those struggling to restore our rights and freedom through violence. I seek no confrontation." His killing marked the beginning of the end of Marcos' oppresive regime and it was key in electing Aquino's widow, Corazon Aquino, as President of The Philliphines in 1986.

What will be your gaming pleasure this weekend, son? Me? I really shouldn't be gaming. I'm on film-project crunch mode.. but most likely I'll be engaging on that vice of mine called League Of Legends. Maybe a game or two with my online buds. How about you?

And, oh, let's all celebrate Ceekay's impending nuptials.. Please feel free to cock-punch him on his way out of the thread.  icon_razz

Plenty of Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL, although I'm still not sure which platform I want to continue with (PSP or iPhone).

This appears to be a weekend when we don't have much planned, so depending on whatever last-minute nonsense my wife comes up with for me to participate in, I may try to get some time in with Black Ops.  I've re-caught the bug to play and have lately been working diligently at leveling up to try to prestige once more before inevitably moving on to something else.

Still haven't become very enamored with Fallout 3 and after trying Half Life 2 on The Orange Box I was completely bored out of my mind.  How can an FPS be that boring?  Odds are if I don't play Black Ops I won't be playing much else.

while avoiding cock-pucnhes I plan on trying to play Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on the PC.  since the game can be quite buggy, I also have Hunted: Demon Forge and Duke Nukem Forever on deck, both again for the PC.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

I REALLY want this game and have gone nuts trying to find it on xbox in recent years.  when it first game out i remember grabbing it, loving it when i played it for a night or two and then SOMETHING happened but i dont remember what (something came out, vacation, something?) and i returned it (the game had been a rental).  i never went back to it and ive been DYING to get my hands on the game.  i even tried to find it here as a throw in on a trade - no luck frown  so, let this be a free plug - anyone sees this, and thinks man, i can help doopri out, please do! smile

I am very, verrry boring; not only do I have no clue what a "cock punch" is - beyond the obvious - but, as some of you know, I don't even possess the appropriate equipment, being female.    saywhat

To further add to the mundane-ity of my weekend (and this post,) I will add that I will be spending the weekend playing the same thing I've been playing for quite awhile now:  Forsaken World!

You're more than capable of cock-punching CK, since the puncher doesn't need to the equipment, only the punchee.  ninja

edit: oh, did Forsaken World ever add mouse inversion?  That's keeping me from playing.

Random stuff I'm sure. Not entirely positive what is planned for my birthday. I know one friend is in town and my folks mentioned coming down to take me to dinner.

So... probably lots of gaming.

So far, I've played some Tiger Woods and BlOps with Petey.  And it looks like tomorrow will be Pay for Car Repairs, as the heat has managed to kill some part of the ignition system.

Yeah I chugged through that and the expansion a couple winters ago while staying at my bro's place. Only had dialup(he still does there) so it was all SP stuff for a while. Whittled down my backlog a bit though.

I've spent most of my weekend with FF Tactics on iPhone.  For years now, I've put FF VII as my all-time favorite game.  However, after spending significant time with both fairly recently, I think that FF Tactics: WotL has now taken over that spot.  Feels odd to shuffle around a mental list that has been fairly static for the past decade or so.

Also spent a couple hours trying to get back into Fallout:NV, with no luck.  Can't figure out why, but I just really don't like that game...which is odd considering I played all the way through FO3.  Determined that my old-school graphics tolerance was even lower than I thought when I tried Might & Magic VII.  Lasted about 30 minutes before getting frustrated and pulling the plug.  Also spent a couple hours with Gyromancer and Painkiller Black, both picked up on the Steam sale.

Played through Bastion on the 360.  Outstanding game.  I may even play through it again.  Something I almost never do.

Still working on Dungeon Siege 3.  It's hard to make progress when you only get about 4 hours of gaming a week.
