Polls about this kind of thing are completely worthless. All they show is which games have been played by the most people. I'd guess that a large percentage of the asked people exclusively play Call of Duty, and so their answer to the poll is obviously going to be that.

Determining the best ending in some kind of measurable way must instead be done by a committee that has to discuss and explain their choices. This has been done before, I think.

With a few exceptions, this could easily be my list for worst endings.  Obviously they exclusively polled 13,000 teenage boys.

I don't know most of those and some of them are games where I played a ton but never finished.  Fallout 3 and Oblivion for example.  Not sure how anyone would rank BlOps over MW1.  Too bad most of this list is console specific.  Where are the Mafia games?  Where is Bastion?

I don't even vaguely remember the end of BLOPS and believe it or not I played through twice (normal and veteran).  I think I understand what they are getting at with Reach - the way the player ends the game is kind of unique, but the overall ending is nothing special.

As recent games go, I can agree with RDR and Portal being up there as they had memorable endings.

Perhaps we could generate a better list ... any suggestions? If people put up the games they think have memorable endings, we could set up a poll that allows multiple votes, and then people could vote for EVERY ending they liked. Since we all haven't seen every ending, I suppose a little youtube research would help folks decide.

I don’t mind that there are so many modern games but there are some really bizarre choices there.  Multiple Super Mario games? Force Unleashed II over the original?  Fallout 3 over New Vegas?  An Elderscrolls game?  The ending in those are so unsatisfying they always let you keep playing.
