I know that Acclaim went kaplooey, but I thought someone had picked up The Red Star.  I haven't heard anything in forever.  Anyone have relatively recent info?

I was really looking forward to this one too. The demo was great!

I was expecting a new publisher to step up, but the latest EGM states that no one did, and they don't expect the game to see the light of day.  Sad really.

While I'm sad that the comic series isn't getting a game to go with it, I'm not surprised that no one picked up the game itself.  The setting had a great deal of potential as a game, but the demo I played wasn't all that good.

See, I thought the demo was great.  Back to basics, but with sharp graphics.  Similar to Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project in that way.

That said, having read the comic, it's an odd choice for that detailed world and compelling, complicated story.  The simple game style just doesn't evoke the series.

Still, it would have been nice.
