Tell you what, we coulda had a good life together! Fuckin' real good life! Had us a place of our own. But you didn't want it, Ennis! So what we got now is Brokeback Mountain! Everything's built on that! That's all we got, boy, fuckin' all. So I hope you know that, even if you don't never know the rest! You count the damn few times we have been together in nearly twenty years and you measure the short fucking leash you keep me on - and then you ask me about Mexico and tell me you'll kill me for needing somethin' I don't hardly never get. You have no idea how bad it gets! I'm not you... I can't make it on a coupla high-altitude fucks once or twice a year! You are too much for me Ennis, you sonofawhoreson bitch!
I wish I could quit you.
(I wish I could get into the idea of this game, but from all accounts, I understand it's somewhat of a 3rd-person RTS and that scares me off. Guess I'll DL the demo or rent it when the drought hits)

Sounds like a game saddled with an engine that can't quite pull it off.

Just Bad timing... I want to play this game but with GRAW, Burnout 360, Onimusha 4 for PS2 and Guild Wars for PC, I just do not have time nor money. If only this game came out little earlier

I played the multiplayer demo and enjoyed it quite a bit. It is a 3rd person shooter / RTS-lite. You have to call in gun enplacements such as machine gun nests and anti-vehicle weapons as well as vehicles to help assault enemy positions. I'm going to wait on it to come down in price, though.

The demo is a lot of fun, and I'll be playing it until there's a game drought and I can afford the full game. If this game had come out last month, they would have had a real hit on their hands. After GRAW, I might as well wait for "bargain" bin.

From the demo I played I totally agree with their score. May rent someday when in between games and have nothing else to do.

As I suspected the single player game would be dull. Unless they had really good AI that handled things strategically with emplacements and in controlling the leaders and the enemy units, then the game would pretty much be a MP only thing.

You know, so far Gamespot's is the only mediocre review. Gamerankings has the average at 81%. http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/928324.asp And that's factoring in the Maxim review...those guys are tough. I am waiting for at least IGN's review, but GS is usually pretty accurate for me.

And here it is, in all its comparable glory: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/695/695633p2.html6.9THQ and Relic shouldn't be punished for creating a new game. This is an original title not based on a franchise or a sequel. We applaud their resistance to do the same ol' same ol'. Unfortunately, The Outfit is neither attractive looking, nor is it as arcade-like and fun to play as it should be. The single-player game is repetitive and plodding. There is tons of potential to be explored here that isn't. The multiplayer game is great fun, if you can get past the shoddy character controls, the annoying vehicles, and the lack of polish that seems to rear its big head at nearly every turn.
Should you get this game? If you are desperate for an Xbox 360 game and damn the consequences, well then, sure! Buy it! It's also worth mentioning that the co-op functionality is solid. But if you're searching for a honed, precision-style action game with polish and good controls, well then, no. Do not get it.

Maxim: If you don't get a 5 out of 5 score, you didn't pay us enough. 'proper' game reviews (of titles that aren't due out in 2 months) my ass.
