How many saves can this thing hold? I've been saving A LOT and it doesn't even give me an option to delete. Is it like Saints Row where there are a lot of slots and then you have to overwrite?

in the 360 version?  you can delete specific saves, look at the buttons legend on the Save screen

With all this don't do this, don't do that, don't look here, don't go there, talk flying around. I take it this game will be good only for one run through. How long is it? What is the percentage of a replay?

Oh, 1:24:00 to go.

Hmm, can't answer that right now, since I have no idea how far or what percent I'm into the game, there's no readout of that sort I've come across. The game really does immerse you (ha ha, immerse, it's under water!!!  icon_lol) into the character and the setting, all except for the occasional "Achievement" popup that is a bit annoying.

Oh, and do look up, a lot. There's all sorts of decorations and details above you that you don't even notice if you are playing the game as a shooter. And the hacking mini-game... very cool, much more fun than the Oblivion "Persuasion" gear thing.

You should be able to turn off the achievement popups from the dashboard.

Buy a copy somewhere else and return the one you get in the mail back to the store!

The hacking minigame drive me nuts.  It's just a tedious time waster, imo.  So I usually just buy it out or autohack the damn things.

And the big daddies - ouch they are tough!  Cheaters.

I walked into a local EB at lunch today and picked up a copy of the standard PC version; 1 of the last 2 copies in stock.  slywink thumbsup
I'm now praying that it will run decently on my humble mid-spec'd PC, Otherwise I'll be posting it pronto in the trading forum. Of course by the time I post it, every GT'er will probably have it by then.  icon_cry

I grabbed the last copy left a Blockbuster on my way home.  I think my days of PC gaming are just about over.  This is the first major dual-platform release where I never even considered the PC version.

There are reasons to hack.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I have a tonic that boosts my health and eve every time I successfully pull one off....so it's a good enough reason for me. icon_wink

They become a bit more difficult (not more exciting though) as the game progresses...but the rewards are worth it.

I just picked it up at Best Buy and pricematched the CC price.  I get tired of dealing with CC's videogame section (even if by some mircale it's on the floor on release day then it's always locked up in a cabinet necessitating wandering around the store to find a redshirt who can get it out of the cabinet for me).  Plus with BB I can get it added to my Reward Zone points.

+1

I went to circuit city after work because it was closer to my job. Of course, they have none on the shelf. I ask random redshirt number one if they have the game. He looks at the shelf and tells me they don't have any. Im sure they were in the back so I went to the service desk and wait for about 10 minutes. Nobody shows up so I leave and grab a copy of the ad on my way out. I went to Best Buy and price matched it.  I don't know why I waste my time with CC. I'm always disappointed with them.

Circuit City is such a shithole of customer service these days.  Which shouldn't be much of a surprise since that round of layoffs for employees who were making too much money so they could hire some minimum wage punks who don't know anything or care to.

I'm just about to fire it up myself.  made a great dinner of Pork Chops, biscuits and white corn, washed it down with some decent Scottish Ale and promptly succumbed to a food coma.

I did exactly the same thing-although normally I do what Kevin does because otherwise I get frustrated since CC NEVER has more than a couple copies of any game on release date-this time I made the mistake of going there first. At least I got it in the end. For all the shit BB deservedly gets, they  have improved a lot.

No dummies.  I did a plus one for each thread title change.

I know it was too subtle for you, but given the likelihood that you have some experience with adventure games, you should have been able to catch on.

Actually, it wouldn't be a unicorn. It'd be a horse.  That you somehow have to attach a horn to...like say by tapping a maple tree (that you do by somehow combining a nail clipper, a whistle and shoe polish) to get the sap...but you can't put it into the bucket in the background...no you have to concoct a papiere mache container (made from wood bark, water and bubble gum).  But how to knock out the horse? Can you just hit it with your hammer? No you have to find a sleeping agent, one of whose key ingredients you missed 2 hrs before on a previous level so you have to backtrack....

Plus Unicorns only have one horn.  unless they're female and giving birth, then they temporarily have two horns sticking out of them.  wow, Unicorn pregnancies must be painful.
