Her name wouldn't be Karita would it?...she and me fought a Dragon where she was praying and i hid behind a rock while she got killed(*ahem*),later on in the game a group of thugs jumped me,hired by Karita,so the question is how did she hire the thugs if she died, but then again....funnily enough i am not sure if its the same girl, but there is a Karita in the Dawnstar Inn,if it is the same one,she has made a great recovery from being dead!!
Whooo, duh doo. Look who knows so much, eh. Well it just so happens that your friend Karita was only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Now, mostly dead is slightly alive. are you suggesting it's true love that brought her back, because if so.... Load CBBE and then we'll talk.

I was sneaking throug a mine, and kept on hitting an area where things blew up but for the life of me couldn't find a tripwire or anything. finally noticed a shimmering in the air, and was scratching ym head at what was causing the gas to explode. finally it hit me: I had firebolt out in my left hand, and the fire effect from the spell on my hand was setting it off. put it away and I was fine, but damn if that isn't a cool side effect of having the spell readied.
Torches? I just use my night vision. I've got me a puddy tat of backstabbery, archery, and a minor in freezing/burning things for fun. 1 Handed weapons (although with Tytanis mod that allows smelting, I accidentally melted down "Dragon's Breath" and now I'm stuck with a dagger I had just picked up).

So what mods are you running? Right now I've got the Tytanis one (or whatever the name is) + the improved inventory listing, fix for jagged faces, glowing ore, glowing whore (no wait, it's the prettier faces mod), as well as CBBE and the >2GB RAM mod. I have a few others I plan on putting in, but I'm waiting for Vinda-Lou's video card and ram upgrade to bump textures. Absolutely loving the game, had some very fun random moments, like when a thief gave me a pair of boots to hold, and then lying to their owner, and killing the thief myself. If anyone has seen the thief stone (+20% relevant experience) I wouldn't mind knowing - I just don't want to go and look. Also, has anyone tried out a mod (if one exists) that allows you to take notes on your map?

Thief stone is on the road out of Helgen that you walk down in the beginning of the game. It is clustered together with the Mage and Warrior stones.
I am not running any mods at this point, perhaps once the content creator tools are released I will take a look. I am running on fairly old hardware, and the game is running phenomenally well, I would rather not risk that by introducing a bunch of mods. What is this CBBE mod you mentioned Purge?

I saw no performance hits running the mods I have on. Here's where you start: - Head over to Skyrim Nexus.
- Download their Download Manager and run the install file.
- To avoid Win7 permissions issues, do NOT install it under C:\Program Files.
Instead, relace c:\program files\ with c:\Games\. This directory will be offered for the mods, so you may as well use it and not have UAC stop you from modifying files.
- Head over to their Top recent mods.
- Use the link to download in their manager.
- Once stuff is downloaded, double-click the packages to deploy them.
- Enable the mods you want
- Launch Skyrim from the Nexus Download Manager
CBBE is a mod to change the female models to look less realistic, and less reasonably proportioned.

At level 22 I'm finding Dragon's very easy now(on Adept setting). I just got into a fight with one, and was attacked by 4 or 5 bandits at the same time. Almost immediatley after I killed the first dragon and bandits, a second landed right next to me.........without time to set up for the fight, I was into it again. Finished this dragon off in no time as well. I think it might be time to up the difficulty a bit. I have about 14 shouts now, with 3 dragon souls left over. Still having a tremendous blast(SHOUT)with this game. Amazing depth, can't get over it.

I'm level 19, and have yet to go up the stairs (which means 1 shout). This mimics my Oblivion experience - I tackled the gates much later. I think my ADD isn't helping much.

I turned my difficulty up to Expert near the beginning. At level 29, I still have a tough time against dragons and other "bosses". Even normal MOBs can be tough if there is a group of them at once. Makes for a much more enjoyable experience, IMO.

you can get more shouts without going to High Hrothgar (I always think of our Hrothgar and chuckle when I hear that name); so far I have about 8, with a couple having two words in them, and I haven't answered their silly summons yet.

You will start running into tougher types of dragons on Adept near the late 20's and early 30's. Blood Dragons are a bit tougher, and Elder Dragons can be nasty, even on Adept difficulty.

Hmm, I may have to get back to the main quest line if I can get something like that. Fighting these damn Elder Dragons as a melee-focused character has been a total pain in the ass when they don't land.

The updates to the mods are fantastic. Better sorting now has most arrows listed as Arrow - Iron (230) Arrow - Forsworn (130) I highly recommend that one along with Tytanis. Great stuff. Now I can smelt pots and pans (among others), create arrows and the like. The interface is way more responsive, and easier to use. In stead of cascading vertical menus, the main Menu uses a top row heading with scroll lists for the contents. Original: QD Inventory: These screenshots have font changes, but you get the idea. They don't have any images showing the barter/trade/ window, but basically it goes Shopkeeper(all) (itemtype1) (itemtype2) <space> You(all) (itemtype1) (itemtype2) etc. I love this comment (emphasis mine) from the Tytanis mod: Beta phase of mounts! I didn't include dragons yet because it's currently corrupting saves, but I'll get on it once I wake up (I'm very, very tired right now). I also need to update the mounting animation...and if your bear or sabrecat are laying down, you can mount them but you won't be able to go anywhere. Just punch them in the face and when they get up, jump on!

Also one thing to note - your WSAD controls also work on the menu (AD move left and right on the top bar, WS are up and down on the list of items). The column data is much improved, showing relevant data for items, and it also includes a rating for value per weight unit measurement. eg: a .5 ring at 50gold = 100, where armor of 25 with a value of 1250 = 50. I found it very useful in determining best item selling yield. I became a helmet collector very quickly.

You can try to get some of the pickpocketing potions or enchant items to help. However, in my experience, by the time I could get the potions or the enchantments my skills were high enough not to really need them (in many circumstances).

yes, especially when you do 30x damage. too bad you can't backstab a dragon. You can. Use the distraction shout. Also, the shadow warrior can be abused to sneak attack enemies, even to their face. Haver not tried this, but I know someone who has used the first method.

Got a bit of vacation, so finally got around to getting Skyrim. Regarding the 4GB mod - I downloaded it from SkyrimNexus using Download manager - and 'installed it' using the DM app. Then I assume I launch the game from the D/L MGR - but can I also assume that the 4GB mod is used as the exe? The 4GB Mod directions are to launch the game by directly executing the Skyrim4GB.exe. Can't tell if the D/L MGR Skyrim launcher is tied to the 4GB exe.
Any way to ensure I am using the 4GB mod as the Skyrim exe via the DL MGR?

turn Skyrim into a MMO! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkKQYRRfAoA&feature=player_embeddedSkyrim Online turns your single experience into an online experience, play with your friends, chat with people worldwide, trade with other players... Currently in the alpha stage you can see other players (appearing as a spectral horse), you can also chat with everybody. The mod also includes an Arena to fight with waves of creeps. Installation : 0) Back up your config files, this mod will rewrite them !!! 1) Unrar the file in your Skyrim root folder. 2) Create a shortcut for SkyrimOnline.exe on your desktop Usage : - Start SkyrimOnline.exe, it will automatically update the mod and then allow you to start the game with the mod. - When you enter the game, you will be prompted for a username, enter whatever username you feel like using there is no authentication yet. - To switch between UI mode and Game mode press F3. Get the mod here http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3592

So if I have 4 gb ram but am running a 32 bit OS do I still get benefit from that mod? My understanding is that the mod only benefits those with 64-bit Windows & => 4GB RAM. I think the reason the mod was needed in the first place was that Bethesda decided not to allow the game to access 4GB as the benefit would only be for machines that were 64-bit OS + =>4GB. However, I think they recognize that it is the top mod for players, and will probably include it in a future Skyrim patch.
