Oh, as for me I'm getting The Technomancer.  It may be janky, but I want to support Spiders to keep them developing their weird shit.

And I have The Division DLC coming from my idiotic purchasing of the season pass.

Also interested to hear how BoxBoxBoy, God Eater and Inside turn out.

I have Star Ocean preordered, will be keeping an eye on Technomancer as well.

EDIT:  After reading a couple import reviews on Star Ocean, I may put that $$ towards FF XV instead.  The reviews and impressions are...not kind.

Likely not anything.  I have plenty of LEGO games in the backlog, have picked up seven games in the Steam sale, and a huge backlog of games.

I'm probably overLEGO'd, but given that it's really the only Force Awakens game we're getting, I'll be picking up LSW:TFA.

If the reviews for Technomancer are great, I'll get it this week.  If they're just decent, I'll pick it up on sale down the road, otherwise, I don't need it.

Heart and Slash is supposed to be good, so maybe that.  Also, I loved BoxBoy, so BoxBoxBoy seems likely.

I'm eyeing 7 Days to Die, too, but I don't remember why.

There are two more movies coming.  I am patient enough to wait to see what that ends up looking like before pulling the trigger.

I pre-ordered Technomancer.  Now I'm curious to know what exactly "janky" means  icon_biggrin

I haven't purchased anything on the Steam sale. Thus far it's just a complete meh.

Same here.  There's a few I was interested in, but they're all still to expensive (over $20).

I looked at everything, then looked twice and also did the whole "discovery queue" to see if there was anything interesting that steam had hidden away.  Then I bought Dying Light for a replay on PC and haven't looked back.  I'm on my last week at this job and don't have anything immediately lined up, so that pretty much ends my "backlog growing" stage.  I anticipate I might get time for that hopeless project:  backlog clearing while looking for a new position and cancelling all my medical appointments to the chagrin of my doctors while getting some useful advice from the company representative, such as changing my resume's font and adding some new tech buzzwords in an attempt to sound current.  I will be looking at reviews for the Spiders game and telling my son why we aren't immediately getting another Lego game.  (he still hasn't finished the last few)

Thank you E9.  We took a small break in no-net land and by the time we returned last night, I was too weary to even flip the pc on.

The early reviews for both Star Ocean and Technomancer so far are decidedly mediocre.

I'll probably take a flyer on both games at some point, but definitely not at a $60 price point.

Everything I'm hearing about Inside is that it seems like it is amazing and even way better than Limbo.

I'm not really put off by the reviews for The Technomancer.  It is getting similar scores to what Bound By Flame did, so I guess that's to be expected.  I can put up with some less than perfect facial faces, cinematic animations and janky stuff without much problem.  And I'm hoping the PC version doesn't have any of the rare performance issues seen on the consoles.

Yes, best of luck in the job hung, Caine!  Things are looking up these days compared to a few years ago so hopefully you find some good options.

Any links to share? The official site has no text descriptions, just a trailer and some gifs so not quite sure what it is all about.

Apparently, there's a lot to spoil, so everyone is being very dodgy about what to say.

Once I saw my third 9/10 yesterday morning, I pre-ordered (it's actually out today).

Square Enix stealth-released Adventures of Mana for Vita on PSN Tuesday, which is especially surprising since they hadn't even announced a western release for the Vita version.

Square Enix stealth-released Adventures of Mana for Vita on PSN Tuesday, which is especially surprising since they hadn't even announced a western release for the Vita version.

They also surprise released FF Brave Exivus for iOS this morning.  It's a social RPG, similar to Record Keeoer, from what I understand.

Of course, they started off the release with a 6 hour maintenance.  Not exactly a way to make a great impression.

EDIT:  Predictably, the launch of this is your typical Squeenix clusterfuck.  Started off with a 6 hour maintenance, which then extended to a 10 hour maintenance.  It finally went live, but the load was too much with nothing but "Servers are busy, try back later" messages for a couple hours.  Just tried again, and am now getting an "Emergency maintenance will be conducted at the times below" message (without listing any actual times) then kicking you out of the app once you hit OK.

I'll try it again sometime next week.   icon_lol

Think I might pick up Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. Really loved the first one, and I've heard this is an improvement, so that's good enough for me!

I'm enjoying it.  It won't set the world on fire, but it's a solid B title.  It somehow doesn't feel as exciting or innovative as the last one, but is still entertaining.
