The PS3 version of the demo isn't available in the States yet either.  Maybe the rest of the world doesn't want us to have this demo....

i'm also hesitant in using my euro/japan accounts after the last update.

now i might just set up a euro psn account and try it that way.  or i might not even bother with the thing and play something i already like.

The demo came onto XBLM in North America yesterday.

I played it last night.  At first I was a little nervous, because I'm a methodical gamer, even in shooters.  I like to search through areas, find the nooks and crannies. The game design here doesn't allow for that. But as I played, I quickly fell into their mindset.  I think it'll be a lot of fun.  The missions are nice and short, so there's a lot of chance for replayability to beat your score or find more hidden targets.  And there seems like there will be a lot to do, though some of it may turn out to be more of the same.  There will be something like 8 - 10 areas, each with half a dozen missions or so and 6 - 8 characters to play through each one.  Is that going to be enough variety?  I don't know.  But this isn't the typical shooter with lengthy, objective based levels.   Sure you're in the same basic local, but you're seeing different sections of it.  And you have different objectives: beat the clock, crank your score, survive...  It's more like a racing game in shooter format.  Which makes sense, given that this is a Bizarre Creations game.  I'm looking forward to it.

Not sure what it says about me, but this demo was very addictive.  Finally managed a 6.6 million score on the score attack level, insane difficulty.

Sooo fun.

After playing through a couple times I'd say it's fun and has potential as a nice diversion.  It won't be unseating COD4, Burnout or Pirates on my list of priority games though.

What can I say?  I enjoy running through prison cells with a variety of weapons trying to shoot as many people in the head (or after a roll, or in the head after a roll), especially when I can get a shot through the glass of a riot shield (into the head of course, or ricochet a shot into the head through the glass), while not losing my combo multiplier.

A 20x multiplier was my best.  I'm afraid to load the demo up again for fear of losing another couple of hours.

LOL

I can't get close to 20x multiplayer.  I got into the low teens once...

In the escape situation, I LOVE shooting that RPG'er in that tower once you go outside.  What an impressive explosion!

Never heard of this game.

Tried the demo.

As demos go it's fun- but I always come away somewhat sour from demos because I can't read the manual and really learn the idiosyncracies- and it has me very interested in trying it out furreal as the leaderboards should be a hoot.

Is it a full priced game?

I also had a 20x multiplyer.  Hopefully it can go higher, odd we'd both get the same one.

Unfortunately, yes.  I'd ponder grabbing it for $30 and definitely for $20.  No way for $60, though.

its like tony hawk meets third person shooter

it just did not work for me.  i love tony hawk.  i love me some shooters.  but this was just a bit silly and while i love skating out ridiculous combos and working insane tricks  i was bored of running and shooting for points in about 10 minutes

multiplayer may be fun but really i can think of no reason why id fire this up for multi instead of gears.  or hell even stranglehold

I've still somehow managed to not try this despite loving all of the stuff the dev has tried before.

I'll download it tonight and give it a shot tomorrow evening or something.

Or at least I'll plan to.

I didn't really understand what this game was all about prior to downloading it. I guess I have read something about it- a shooter with a score made by the PGR guys? Kthnx? Anyhoo, I just decided why not. Well, other than the surprisingly primitive graphics, this game is a ton of fun. It's also not easy. Now, it's not hard in that you can't finish the levels-not at all-but getting anything better than the broze bullet is not easy at all. I came close on the sprint run, and had an 18x combo. To keep it short, I really like it. It's not a 60$ game for me, but if it hits 40$ I will almost certainly pick it up. It's seems like great 20 minute pick up and play fun, and I value that a lot right now.

Plus I think the stylish kill idea is clever, and many of the ways to get those kills are a lot of fun. I don't like the turning mechanics much-the guy is super sluggish without the fast turn button, and the guns are a little too inaccurate. I also suck at coming up with stylish kills. This game would benefit soo much from a max payne style dive button.

I really liked how clean the graphics look.  It's sorta like their look in PGR - it doesn't really blow you away, but it looks so crisp and clean.

Yeah I thought the presentation was great.  I'm still not sold on it, but it looks like it'll have hellah replay value.

How does MP work? Is it just basically you run around and kill other people on live?  Cause I can see people dying a lot...
