Teased for quite awhile, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has been confirmed, coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN this summer!

And with online multiplayer, featuring the popular "quarter" match system.

Demo on PSN this week Tongue

I was never really good at MvC2, but I played a shiiiiiiit ton of it. My Cable/Sentinel/Akuma cannot be beat! Okay, well, probably really easily beat, but it's a fighting game that never, ever got old for me. And Street Fighter 4 lasted a few weeks...

Any other fans in the house?

I used to have this on Dreamcast, one of the reasons I miss it. Since the game is freakin impossible to find (without paying an arm and a leg) this will be one of the few xbox originals actually worth the $15.

I find it deeply disturbing that neither Wonderpug or Harkonis have posted in this thread. Someone call 911 slywink

I actually really did not like any of the MvC games.  I know, I know, seems odd. slywink

The heavy combo focus in these Vs. games always turned me off; I have a hard enough time doing the 2-3 hit combos in the classic Street Fighter series.  I also remember being intimidated by the ginormous character select screen.

But I've heard so much praise for these games I've always been curious what I missed out on.  The HD Remix treatment is a perfect excuse to finally give it a try.

How does that even work? You can rewind if you don't like the punch that was just thrown?

Okay, what's the 4th D? Does the boxing match take place outside of the confines of time, somehow? Like, you can go and deliver the knockout blow to your opponent when he's still a toddler?

Archon was nice but I preferred Mail Order Monsters.  Way of the Exploding Fist was pretty cool, too.

I would be more interested in KI with online play.  That was a great game.

I absolutely hated KI. It was nothing but a combo madness game.

I played it somewhat recently, it didn't age well at all.  Feels slow and clunky.  Then again, it always kind of felt that way.

Aaaand it's just not the fighting game for me.  Tried the demo and I just don't get the appeal.  The gameplay just feels so frantic.
