TF2 for noobs?

Can anyone recommend a server for people who have no idea what they are doing?

doesn't Gamers with Jobs have a TF2 server?  I imagine they're a friendlier bunch than a lot of other places out there.

They're either extremely nice to play with or extremely xenophobic recluses depending on whether or not you get accepted into their inner circle.  If you're not willing to post regularly in their TF2 thread and become one with their customs, traditions, and local cuisine, I'd maintain a safe distance from their server.

Are they like that for Bad Company 2 as well? I keep meaning to jump on their server for that, but I'm mostly a lurker and occasional poster over there.

Their TF2 subculture is mostly self-contained. I get along well with most of their Street Fighter and Modern Warfare 2 players, but I've never played BC2 with Goodjers so I'm no help there.

I play on FNF Online most of the time.  People there are really nice and have no issues with new folks.  Hell's Kitchen runs good servers too.  I think they name their servers TF2 Noobies Only.  The title is misleading, as the players there are all very good, but the [HK] guys are friendly and helpful to new players.
