pretty sloppy test...it says my processor isn't compatible (a P4-3.0gHz) because it's recognized as two processors due to Hyperthreading, and it doesn't recognize WinXP with SP2 as a valid version of WinXP. everything else works...although i could use a better video card...

I dont see one for Oblivion to test.
EDIT found it nm.
Seems my old video card is what kills me on Oblivion and some other stuff like BF2. BF2 would be ok but needs pixel shader 1.4 and I have 1.3 lol.

GF4ti w/64mb and no dvd rom failed me.
This might be the game that finally gets me to upgrade, I await the GT readership's response(and the front page review).

I failed the recommended video card which doesn't surprise me. I need to upgrade my old FX5900 soon with something beefier.

You guys suck. I'm looking at failing on the video card (Radeon 9800 instead of X800) and Processor (XP 2400+ instead of 3Ghz). Worst part is, when I get my bonus, instead of immediately getting the PC and having it soon after Oblivion, I have to get my ticket for E3, so the new computer will probably wait until April or May. Ah well

I'm past minimum on everything. The only thing that keeps me from being recommended is my 6600GT. But I'll be damned if I buy a new video card. I'll have to live with it.

My system is a little over two years since the last upgrade, and it just barely failed the recommended specs. I was pretty suprised, mainly just hoping it would pass the minimum. The only thing I failed on was my 2.8Ghz processor and 5900 video card, so I'm not very concerned about it. Should be fairly playable, if I even have the time or desire to play it.

Well my system falls in between minimum and recommended on everything but the video card, which is a minimum spec card. As I expected I will be going with the 360 version. After working on computers all day at Fed Ex, I am having less and less interest to go home and sit in front of a computer screen to play games.

Well, by the time I actually care about playing Oblivion then I might have rebuilt my system so it can run the game. I'm looking at another two years maybe. And no, I won't be reviewing it for this site.

According to this system I'll be "rocking" and the entire world will bow down before the might of my computer. I may wake up tomorrow to a loud humming noise coming from my office -- and find primitive men pummeling each other about the head and shoulders with bones.
And I don't believe it for a minute.
My video card is okay (6800GT) but my processor (AMD64 3000+) ain't exactly state of the art. The main components are about 16 months old. The video card is a bit over a year old.
Oblivion would probably run _okay_ at medium or low detail levels. I probably won't be able to run it at my LCD's native resolution of 1680x1050.
Which is why, for now, I'll just play it on the 360. In a year or two I'll probably buy the PC version after an upgrade.

Hmm, the only white bar I have is for the OS.
You Have: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Did Microsoft release SP3 without me knowing it?
Oops, and for the CPU too.

Well .. this is the first time I've seen this 'tester' .. is this new?
first time I ran it .. it said .. "You Lucky Dog .. we wish we had a system like yours"
and I'm, like .. Huh?
So I run it again .. FAIL .. mostly because of harddrive space it seems .. that should really be a "we recomend you free up some damn space boy"
My System:
2.8ghz Pentium 4 HT (didn't like it) 1.5 GB RAM ATI 9800pro 128MB DELL onboard audio etc WinXP Home SP2 (didn't like it)
so I'm assuming the tester needs to have some bugs worked out
