Well this is another older game Im thinking of restarting. Last time I played a few lvls down into the temple and got bored. I sucked at the combat really. Now I have the urge to restart. Whats a good party makeup?

Id like to get opinions on stuff like how many party members to make. what classes and races. Should I stay good or go for an evil or neutral party?

I thin I want a human monk and a half ogre barbarian as my first two tank line. Is that a good idea on classes or do monks suck in ToEE? I was gonna make the barb really dumb for the dialogs. Maybe stick 2 clerics with them and a sorc? I have no earthly idea what to make.

I recommend not bothering, but if you insist, stay away from monks. Monks in D&D become very powerful after lvl 10 at the earliest, and start getting godlike in the late teens and more. The level cap in TOEE is way too low to really get any good combat out of the monk, and they are certainly not tanks. Take a barb and a fighter, a mage/sorc, a cleric, and a hybrid of some kind. Either way, I recommend playing any other infinity engine RPG before this dissapointment.

Well, seeing as one of you is listing Turn based games, and one of you is not, I'm thinking there might be a communication problem here...

Man I loved the combat in this one.  LOVED IT!  BEST D&D COMBAT EVAR!

Too bad it was never really patched to where it ought to have been.  Anyone have details on the latest fan fix pack?  I think I will reinstall this bad boy.

edit:
Found this http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1372 and installed all that.  My mouse is all 'floaty though', its horrible.  Is there a fix for this?

I was just looking through that forum and it sounds like there is a ton of people still working on the game doing improvements beyond bugfixing.

Anyone that doesn't have this game can get it for $10 pretty much anywhere now. Jewel case only at BB and boxed ones are at Gamestop (at least mine) for the same.
