Test your videogame knowledge with a quiz! It's a little Canada-centric, so maybe that's why I only scored a 7/10. I got 1, 9, and 10 wrong. http://www.cbc.ca/cgi-bin/quiz/quiz.cgi?quiz=arts_gamingYou scored 7 out of 10. Not bad, but not quite good enough. Now you know how Atari feels.

I got 9/10, missing the last question. You scored 9 out of 10. You obviously know your stuff. So where the deuce is Duke Nukem Forever?

I missed the first one (second-guessed myself) and the one about sales in Canada.

I also got 10/10 -- but only because someone mentioned doctors and I got lucky guessing on others.

9 out of 10. I missed the one asking how often Canadians buy video game stuff. It was a surprise to me that they even had electricity!

10 out of 10. The scary thing is that I got the one about Pac Man Fever correct mostly because I actually owned that horrible album.

9 out of 10,missed 3 and 6(No laughing)
Some were guesses (Like why the pong machine was broken..) I took an edjucated guess on that one...
I shoulda known it was 3-d modeling of some sort, but second guessed myself... the last one was too funny not to pick.
No one should miss 5,... Frogger Centipede, Donkey Kong, Pac Man were all out in the arcades around the same time. Tetris really didnt get huge until around Game-Boy time.
I'd also argue 8, because they have different versions... So unless you count the atarii 2600/7200/400/800... lol
and 10 is a given if you have spent any time near canada/the southern half of america.

Well, I guess I'm still a "good test-taker" - I knew a few - mostly from "Icons" on G4TV, lol - and totally guessed and "educatedly guessed" on the rest... and managed 9 out of 10. Shoulda been about a 4 or 5 really...

8 out 0f 10 but one question has me confused:
SPOILER OF ANSWER:
. .
9. Q. At what rate were videogames purchased in Canada in 2004? A. 29 sales per minute
So to calculate total sales for a year: 29x60x24x365 = 15,242,400
Population of Canada is ~ 26 million.
So an average Canadian buys 0.6 games per year.
Actually, that makes sense, when I was doing the quiz, I misplaced some zeroes and got average Canadian buying 500 games per year so I picked 29/hour answer.

I only missed the first one. And I knew I should've answered that. Oh well, I am not particularly proud that I know about Canada's games sales etc. Lucky guesses...
