I loved Crimson Skies and am interested in picking up another. Wings of War got pretty good reviews lately and is only $20.  Secret Weapons Over Normandy came out a while ago and is cheap too.  Anyone played both before?   I read in the SWON review that there is a "bullet time" feature? That seems like it would ruin the game.  Thoughts?

I have Wings of War and enjoy it quite a bit.  I wrote up some impressions here that you can search for.  It's a fun arcade shooter with some interesting planes.  Zero multiplayer, however, so if you plan to play with a buddy it won't be the way to go.

Wings of War all the way.  It is superior in every way imaginable as far as I am concerned.  By far the best ground graphics to date in any console flight game.  To me any way.  The missions are intense, varied, and have a gazillion objectives.  The controls are quite nice as well.

SWON is mediocre at best to me.  Inferior in every way I just mentioned.  At that price point though you could eventually have them both some day, so, pick one, play it out, and grab the other if still interested.

Great impressions Driver, thanks. Did you ultimately complete the game?

I have both games.  I finished SWON, but am just starting WoW.  While agree with the above posts that WoW is a better game technically, SWoN in my mind has more atmosphere.  The one thing that I really liked about SWON was the inclusion of exprimental planes.  If you ever wanted to take on ME262s with an experimental US fighter, SWON should not be missed.

SWON had multiplayer right?  Was that any good?

I have SWON, but have never played it.  I had (past tense) Wings of War, and in my not-so-humble opinion, it blows.

I tried playing some SWON at a friend's place on vacation recently, and I was not too impressed.  I can't say how the single player is, but the multiplayer wasn't holding my attention at all.

I haven't, but I get at it every now and again.  Lately I've been playing the ESPN games, but I very much like Wings of War.
