Or, if you need this instantly, visit here to download it, burn it to CD, and install it on your 360.

Some fantastic games on this list, including Mercenaries, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Phantom Dust. I should fire them up again. biggrin

'sfunny... I was on xbox.com earlier today, and there was a prominent "What games are backwards compatible?" graphic on the homepage.  I figured there might be an update pretty soon...

JSRF and Mercs, awesome!  There are other good ones on here, too (I'm actually hoping to finish Breakdown, finally).

I'm just happy that they're still doing these.  I hope they don't stop.  I'm still waiting on Warriors and Oddworld:Stranger.

Wait a minute...damn...saw Oddworld and my brain just blanked the rest.  Munch's Oddysey was pretty neat from what I remember of it from so long ago.  I'm a little bit of a sad panda but at least Mercenaries is in to cheer me right back up.

The Prince of Persia games still have yet to be compatible. Also Rallisport Challenge 2, Chronicles of Riddick, Gladius. There are still some good games I think people would like to see made compatible.

PoP: The Sands of Time is backwards compatible, so I'm surprised that Warrior Within and The Two Thrones haven't made the cut yet.

And that's the only one EB has online, too.

Anyone with Soul Calibur 2 know what changed? The list says it was "updated" but I can't find what exactly was updated. Whe it originally showed up on the backward compatible list, I recall that in 720p, the image was was not full widescreen. There were blank bars on the sides. I hope MS updated it so that it is in true widescreen at 720p.

and wow i actually had no clue riddick wasnt.  bummer - the 2nd and 3rd PoP games i could care about - sands of time was where its at

To be sure of that. Also, I'm basically waiting on Chronicles of Riddick at this point but I may pick that up for PC once I rebuild my rig. If that's the case, then Mercs and Psychonauts pretty much guarantee I can let go of my ol' box. The ones I want to continue to play are both LEGO Star Wars (BC), Psychonauts (BC), Mercenaries (BC), and Prince of Persia: SoT (BC) which I actually have for PS2.

Should I obtain sufficient side funds in the future then it's time to upgrade... to a less stable machine that could be bricked at any given moment. ninja

oh, that's easy!  You can hack that yourself in some easy steps:

1) fill tub with water.
2) while tub is filling place PS2 game into 360
3) holding 360, step into tub. (make sure 360 is powered on).
4) Drop 360 in water.  The resulting bump and liquid reaction will force the 360 to run in first gen PS2 mode.

Does anyone have experience running KOTOR on the 360?  I know it's on the list, but i have heard it has issues.  The rumored $90 trade in for the old XBOX towards the elite has me intrigued, but KOTOR is in my backlog and I really do want to play it.  I'll be kind of upset if I miss cutscenes and stuff on the 360.
