So, anyone tried this yet?  I enjoyed the original Black Bass game on the SNES, and I'm wondering how this DS title stacks up.  There aren't any reviews on the major sites yet, which is not a good sign at all.

Sega's fishing titles with the fishing rod peripheral on the Dreamcast were the greatest!

Sounds like it could be a neat title on the DS.  If you like fishing games.

How much is it?  I'll buy it.  I'm hankering for a new DS title anyways.

IGN gave it a 2.5, warning gamers to stay away and saying, "Don’t be fooled, Super Black Bass Fishing stinks to high hell."

Dodged a bullet there, I guess.

Closing Comments
It may only be $20, but Super Black Bass Fishing isn’t worth a dime. The gameplay is amazingly terrible, the audio and visual production is a joke, and the actual act of fishing won’t hold up against Radica’s Bass Fishin’ games, much less any actual DS or GBA cart. Multiplayer is included with only one copy of the game, though it’s just as boring as single player, offering absolutely no actual “player vs. player” elements. The entire game is a joke, and obviously a cheap marketing ploy to cash in on the budget gaming market. Don’t be fooled, Super Black Bass Fishing stinks to high hell. Any gamer tempted to purchase this title should hand their cash to the nearest five year old. At least they’ll know to save their cash for New Super Mario Bros.

Someone please explain to me how this game is good enough to deserve anything higher than a 1 after reading the whole review?  This closing paragraph is amazingly harsh, one of the harshest I've ever read (And I thought Superman 64 got some harsh reviews).  Yet the game gets a couple of 3's in the individual scores and a 2.5 to boot?

Proof positive (or is it negative?) that numerical scoring scales are seriously whacked.
