The other is NOT the deals, but what people recommend, etc. I like to be able to look through the history of the deals, and having chatter explode the sale to a +120 pages for the few posts can get ... irritating, since the talk has nothing to do with the deals themselves. In other words - the chatter is a derail to the other thread.  It's welcome chatter, it's all good, but it doesn't belong THERE. |

There isn't any proof yet. And there won't be - until all of a sudden Steam stops working as they push through an update that everyone and their dog piles on. I imagine it's going to be worse this time around since they had the gift stuff from xmas, and likely will be doing the same now. |

Based on GAF research, conventional wisdom is the sale won't be starting tomorrow. Either the 4th/5th (seems less likely) or the 12th (which some developer mentioned). We'll see.

There was an indie dev that posted that date on the Steam forums explaining that his game was released early to avoid being released during the sale when it started on the 12th. Can't remember the game, though... |
