I'm not into squad-based or tactical shooters at all (as the learning curve is pretty daunting), and I definately don't play many FPS games on consoles.  I picked up SW:  RC on a whim after cancelling my Samurai Legend Musashi order, not really thinking I'd play it much.

Ho-lee-shit.  It has been a damn long time since I've had this much fun with a game.  There's really not a ton of tactics involved, but there is enough to make it fun for a n00b like me.  Setting up 2 squadmates in sniping positions, having another plant an explosive charge, then laying down short burst cover fire against a squadron of battle droids is one hell of a rush.  I never thought a game could really make the prequels cool, but this one is doing it in spades.

I'm sure it's too basic for the hardcore squad-based shooter fan, but for a novice FPS'er and Star Wars junkie like me, it's absolutely perfect.  Both (very sore) thumbs way, way up!

I had a blast with it too.  Really reminded me (favorably) of Dark Forces.  Here's hoping we get an expansion.

Nice to see a good quality title internally developed at Lucasarts these days.

I liked it alot also.. for the whopping 12-14 hours it took to complete it

Game was way too short.  I could not believe it when all of a sudden the credits started rolling.  I would have thought I was only about half-way through

I just got this for PC and I'm really liking it too.  I love me some Star Wars FPS and this is just what the doc ordered.  Graphics are good, sound is excellent, and the game is fun.  Good times.

So far my only gripe is that the rifle is weak.  I am trying to shoot geonosians and it's either missing them, or they have mad armor!
