I'll start paying attention once they show some actual gameplay with the real main character.

you mean like this?

There were rumours that that Moody Teenager was a 'stand in' for a character look they had not decided on yet....I can't really tell but i thought he looked a bit older/different in the new trailer when he and the other guy look out of the Ships window

My understanding was that the entire preview we saw earlier this year was a prototype of the game that didn't include any of the characters or story that will appear in the real game.

They have said almost exactly that after the E3 showing, hence my comment.

Also, quick-time events aren't gameplay.  slywink

You know what,it doesn't upset me as much as it should do if this game wasn't to get made, everyone else seemed more excited for this game than me

I want LucasArts to get to making games again, and 1313 LOOKED nice, but it was the game play i just was not interested in,it seemed too much Force Unleashed to me,and i wasn't a fan of that

I actually want LucasArts to make diverse games again, and not just Star Wars,Star Wars,Star Wars all the time(saying that though,I still want SWBF3)

and whether it would actually look like that in the final product is another question,we have seen recently how demos can look better than the final thing-no link or explanation needed

damn you Disney:

Quote
Following the shutdown of LucasArts, an important piece of information came to light about Star Wars 1313: Boba Fett would have been the star. Replacing the placeholder character shown at E3 and Star Wars Celebration, the infamous bounty hunter would have taken center stage in 1313, on a mission through the seedy underbelly of the multilayered planet of Coruscant.

Recently, a source showed IGN a 15 minute demo of 1313 that would have debuted at this year's E3. While footage in the demo was still in development and much of it was still using incomplete assets, it was the most extensive look at 1313 we've ever seen, and all of it included Boba Fett in action.

some people on Facebook are talking about a countdown but not sure what it relates to

(i saw it on 'who else wants Star Wars Battlefront III?' FB page in the comments section on this story about 1313)

Apparently it will be just after 3pm GMT..some are saying its just a new petition for the game, keeping my eye open anyway

Wasn't there rumors a bit ago about them making a new Republic Commando game? They were getting the Unreal engine for something?

There have been rumours for everything,LOL

as said above

a new Jedi Starfighter game

a new Bounty Hunter game

a Wii Star Wars MMO

and now Jedi Knight 3

and then we have this list,to name a few

Star Wars Battlefront 3+4(cancelled)

SWBF Online(Cancelled)

The Force Unleashed 3(Cancelled,when a new president took over)

Imperial Commando:Republic Commando 2(cancelled)

Knights of the Old Republic III(Cancelled)

Giving this information. I'd say unless a project is completely finished. I'd stay clear of the rumors or loopy footage.
I personally, would of liked to see KOTORIII and SWBFIII.

I always remember the MAD magazine parody of Attack of the Clones when i think of Jango's Helmet

It had a young Boba picking up his Fathers helmet like you see in the movie, only in the MAD parody his head fell out and bounced away

Who is it then? Mickey?  icon_lol The first image you see is a guy I assume is Boba Fett since he's supposed to be the star of the game, unless it's the earlier character that had been created before Lucas wanted it to be Boba Fett. You see the same shot of the character, but with the same helmet further down. And is it just me or does that weapon look like a hockey stick?

It says Mentor Helmet on the picture,so someone who shows Boba the ropes(remember the footage we saw was the moody kid with someone else who knew what he was doing)

the 3 Helmet pictures show 2 from behind and one from the front(as it says frontview)

As you can see on the last pic as well

And We already know what Boba looks like as he was an unaltered clone, but a clone none the less of Jango,so we know that first picture of the guy is not Boba

Zam Wessell uses a sniper rifle in Attack of the clones,so perhaps its a similar weapon that some Bounty Hunters use

and just to throw this in,also reminds me a little like the Tusken Cycler Rifle, but i suppose thats a given with it being a long rifle type weapon

Yeah, it's the bend at the end that really makes it look like a hockey stick, and actually the way he has it slung on his back too.

Well, technically the art of creating a lightsaber is "lost", only handed down from jedi to jedi (or sith to sith), unless the canon has changed again. slywink

Uh oh, not another discussion about Star Wars canon. Tongue Let's just say that there are several layers of canon, and the lightsaber creation thing is in the most respected and used source (West End Games Star Wars the Roleplaying Game) on the third canon tier (below the movies and TV shows). Not that I remember every exact detail from it, but from what I remember, learning to build a lightsaber and then building it is one of the last and most important parts of training to become a Jedi.

Okay, but that still doesn't make the art of creating one lost, technically.

Yeah, which is why I put the word in quotes. The art is (to the best of my knowledge) lost to the galaxy at large, known only to Jedi/Sith. You might even have to be a Jedi/Sith to build one, though I'm less certain of that.

There's a few that knows how to make the lesser lightsabers still out there though, they have a less strong lightbeam though, but longer reach. There's rumors though that they use subpar crystals that doesnt enhance the matrix all the way up to 1080Lux.

I know we're at the joking point, but I think I read something about how you have to use force sense to find perfect crystals and align them perfectly, or else the saber tends to explode incredibly.

You're probably right. The crystals are a central part of lightsaber creation, in any case.
