rollerskating mechs ahoy!  it's definitely coming for the PC, but other platforms aren't listed yet beyond 'mobile and console 3D gaming'.  I had fun with Heavy gear 2, and hope that they manage to have varied environments like the original PC games did.  IIRC at least one mission took place on the hull of a ship in outer space.

I also remember enjoying Heavy Gear 2 and welcome another competitor to the ever more crowded mech genre.  smile

It must be pretty early days, they are really shy on details and I can't even figure out who is developing it or if they just announced a licensing deal.

awesome news.  I've wanted a sequel to this for years now.  I wonder if they'll try for anything as lofty as the original's take on persistent MP battles.  I enjoyed the second more as it left the not-quite-mechwarrior feel that the original had and went with a mech that reminded me more of terra nova than MW.

I'd rather have this kind of mechs than the anime inspired kind so I really hope they do right by the license.

I'm psyched for this.  As long as the 360 version doesn't Kinectify it and require me to fake-skate in my living room.

I think at least part of the problem is that they are still very early and have yet to show any in-game footage, let alone real gameplay.  I expect once they get to that point then interest will pick up more.

It shows the engine at least, which is in-game.  Which...yay, ok....destructibility.  I just want to see some actual combat.
