Thanksgiving week is usually a big gaming week for me... starts on Monday and doesn't end until the following Sunday smile  This year I was planning on using it to break in my 360, but with the insane prices on eBay, welll...

Anyway, I caught up on a lot of games I've been meaning to get to for some time, including:

Resident Evil 4 (finished for the second time, w/ infinite launcher and Chicago typewriter)
Resident Evil Zero
Call of Duty 2 (PC)
Far Cry (PC)
Amped  (Man, what a frustrating game)
SSX On Tour (Xbox)
Half-Life 2 (Xbox)
Sly 3 (PS2)

The only one I actually finished was RE4, the rest I just made some good headway on.  Who else had a gaming binge last week/weekend?  What did you play?

I put 14 hours into Dragon Quest VIII and finally finished the first 4 sets of Guitar Hero on 'Hard'.  Good times.

Absolutely nothing, because I couldn't get a 360, don't feel like playing any of my Xbox games, and I had problems with my new PC and have to wait until tonight when I have the replacement parts to make it work.

So yeah.

All in all a pretty crappy weekend.

I finally got around to playing Rachet and Clank. I finished the Jak saga last week, and didn't feel like playing Sly 2 (waiting to pick up Sly 3, 'cause I'll jump into it when I finish 2). Pretty much all I played, and I'm at the end boss.

I understand better the praise everyone has for R&C now. It starts slower, but it's a great action platformer. A few levels in, it really takes off. I'd have to give the action in it the nod over Jak, but Jak has a better story and setting, IMO. All things said, though, the Tesla Claw might be my new favorite weapon.

I worked on Phoenix Wright for the DS and am halfway through the third case.

I put some time into Gothic II on the PC and am now level 9 and into the second chapter.  I'm getting my butt soundly kicked by orcs.

My son and I finished the Nuclear Plant and Muir Island levels from X-Men Legends 1.

KOTOR2 -on the 360-missed it when it came out the first time.  Rental from gamefly 4tw

COD2-finished the SP and played some MP

Gauntlet-360 arcade-Fun game when you play with people that know what to do

Madden 06-360- Lost my first franchise game vs. the Titans.  A nail biter that went into OT

WoW-this is been getting less of my time lately cause of the 360

Smash TV demo-360- still considering getting the full version

Hexic HD-360-marathon mode-While most seems to like Geometry Wars I am enamored with this puzzle game.  Its so cool that you can quit out and restart from where you left off at

PGR3 - Although I suck it is excellent.
NHL2k6 - Although I suck it is excellent.
NBA2k6 - I'm pretty sure I suck at this too.  And this game is magnificent.

Tiny bit of WoW and a tiny bit of Civ IV - not really enough to even mention though.

I finished the Human Half of Radiata Stories, got about half way through Shadow of the Colossus, played a bunch of MK DS. Watched the wife dig into DQ8, ate a lot of fod. We did Thanksgiving at my Parent's, went out to dinner Friday with her family, Saturday was late night from Taco Hell and Sheetz, and yesterday we went to the local Hibachi Japanese Steak house for her Birthday, and I making a cake for her now. Spent a ton of money and probably gained 10 pounds from not moving too much from all the game playing.

I had no internet, so I was torn forcibly away from WoW.  I played:

-Mario Kart DS (completed Mission Sets 1-3, 50cc, 100cc, and half of 150cc)
-Dragon Quest 8 (about 10 hours)
-Dungeon Siege 2 (finally got back into this underrated ARPG gem... great game)
-Civ4 (about 30minutes before it crashed, hoping patch fixes that...)

-Gitaroo Man (because I found a copy... and was quickly reminded that I hate rhythm games)

XMen Legends 2 (PSP) - Finished Act 1 while waiting in line for Space Mountain at Disneyland.  This is slowly becoming my favorite PSP game!

Madden 2006 (PSP) - The Broncos continued their march to the Superbowl with victories over the Cowboys and the Chiefs (both in OT)...

Mario Kart (DS) - Played online here and there with some CGers/Shackers - what a blast!  Finished 50 and 100cc and the first four mission sets.

Dark Cloud 2 (PS2) - Played about 2 hours; got my first fishing pole and got to use the georama thing for the first time.  I probably spent 45 minutes doing nothing but fishing frown  Such a damn good game...

Shadows of the Colossus (PS2) - My 3 year old begs me to play it so that I can 'poke the giants'.  I beat the Time Attack on colossi 2-6 on Sunday.

Paper Mario (Cube) - Technically I just watched my 3 year old run around in it and helped him get unstuck occasionally.

Halo 2 (Xbox) - Played a friend in Reno while I waited for the T-day turkey to cook.

Quake 4 (PC) - Starting to get kind of meh, but I'm still soldiering on....

Need 4 Speed:Most Wanted Demo (PC) - Hey, this was kind of fun... I might have to check the full version out!
