I am absolutely loving it as is my roommate. We've had a whole week of late nights playing this one.  Lots of laugh out loud moments and some surprisingly deep strategy. There are a few things I'd have liked to see different but few games are perfect. If the idea of the game appeals to you then I highly recommend this one.

I had great fun with it for a bit, but it took a steep difficulty leap and I suddenly started groaning more. I'm not huge on the deep strategy games though (mostly because of ever-present oversights...come on, minions, can you learn to just keep tourists out of our top-secret eveil base?). So if you're a fan of them you might like it.

As of the crash, I think the general feeling in the thread was that it was a solid game, but not without it's fair share of little flaws.  Overall a solid experience.

If you REALLY like the genre and the setting grab it.  Otherwise, I'd wait for a really good sale, or a price drop.

Being a huge Dungeon Keeper/Dungeon Keeper II/Startopia fan, I have to say I am really enjoying Evil Genius.  Now if I can figure out how to put Jet Chan out of his misery, or preferably dangle him above one of my biotanks while listening to him bleat about having mercy on him MWWUUHAHAA!

This is an easy game to love if you enjoy the putting together an effective "Evil" lair. This game is funny and well done animations with lots of humor.

It is also easy to role play as you can just imagine any bond villian or early 50s super villian performing evil acts so his notoriety grows.

In todays complex dramas such one dimensional villians wouldn't be accepted but if you can step back a bit its alot of fun.

Definately, worth the $39.99 I paid for it.  Tongue

I thought it was going to be just Dungeon Keeper clone in 60' bad spy movie setting, but I was wrong. It is one of the most innovative game.

It is a GOTY material.
