Any one played SimCity Societies on window 7 64bit OS and can verify that it actually worked?

WOW!!! not a popular game around here, I can confirm that the game works on windows 7 64bit.
It was my day one purchase disc that never worked back in my XP days.

Why didn't it work under XP?  Was your machine below spec?

Make sure you get all the latest patches.  My understanding is that they really reinvigorated the game.

I exceeded the recommended spec the game just had major issue on release day
I did contemplate updating but I am actually scared to mess with it since its actually working as is right now.

Well, for what it's worth, Patch 5 rejiggered a lot of the underlying mechanics and, I believe, added several new features.  Tom Chick did a thorough write-up of it at the time but it was lost when Sci-Fi took down Fidgit and destroyed all his work.
