The trailer looks fantastic... I'm excited.   nod

Interesting. Looks just like Dungeon Diablo Quest. Or whatever they called them.  icon_biggrin

Doesn't mean it's a bad thing though. Now to wait for a demo.

I'm interested to see if this one turns out well.  They released a French demo at the end of last week, so hopefully the English language one hits soon.

My impressions of the demo -
I had no idea what any of the text said, but there are markers on the map, so I was able to complete the first quest and fight a bunch of monsters. It seems like a combination of Dungeon Siege 2 and Titan Quest, and I enjoyed what I played of it. It has a unique visual presentation, sort of a cel-shaded look, and the combat was fun with nice spell effects and over-the-top ragdoll physics. It's always nice to see enemies thrown wildly in the air with a lightning spell slywink

There are a lot of skills listed in the skills tabs, divided between melee, magics, miscellaneous skills, and nature/technology. From what I've read in previews, you can choose to go either with nature skills or technology (kind of like Arcanum), and the more you use one or the other, the more you become aligned with it. I didn't get up to a high enough level to be able to use them, and couldn't understand the descriptions, but it seems like it would add an interesting wrinkle to the game.

You know, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that before.  Which games are good?

They also made City Life.

I've got a full build of the game that I'm working on for preview.  Thus far, the Diablo comparisons are right on.  So far so good!

Medieval Lords was fantastic.  City Life is a lot of fun.  The kids really had a good time with their Fire Department series.  thumbsup

Just spent a 1/2 hour with the demo, and my only reaction is 'meh'.  Looks and feels like a low budget Titan Quest.  Also runs like an absolute pig on my system.  I know I don't have the best specs (Athlon XP 3800, 7600 GT video, 1 GB RAM) but it runs TQ just fine, which looks far better than Silverfall.

May pick this up down the road after a price drop.

I have a question. How do you unlock those "Other" things like Technology and Nature?  I can't see where to train them, and the first thing in nature says "Requires 10% nature", but where do you train them?

As for performance, no complaints here, it seems to run great.  But you need to turn down the settings on your box. People with dual cores, and 7800GT+ cards can max it I would think.

Seems better than Titan Quest so far, I love the cell shaded graphics and the high amount of loot.  Not to mention it has party based gameplay, unlike Titan Quest..  thumbsup

There's a nature gal and a technology guy in the refugee camp. Doing quests for them sway you one way or the other on the continuum. The technology guy is, IIRC on the southwest edge of town. Near the blacksmith's apprentice.

Count me in the "meh" category as well. The fight mechanics are fine, and the loot drops are plentiful. But there's something off-putting about the conversations I can't quite put a finger on - perhaps the sheer volume of text with each response. From the hour or so I played, I'd consider picking it up at $20 or less.

This lasted 45min I did not like it. Cell Shadding was the biggest problem. I taught I was getting over this after warming up to Crackdown, then I started to play and it was not captivating my interests.

I will pass on this one. thumbsdown
