LOL that was a funny and good read Hetz.

Many of those 7 traits apply to some of the staff in my local EB stores. I just keep asking myself why they want to work there with the attitudes they have. In a round about way, they remind me of Jack Black's character in High Fidelity.   icon_biggrin

I think most here have conceded that Resistance is a good game.  Not $560 good.  But good nonetheless.

Yeah, I didn't like that move either, but it still is the best 3D fighter ever made.  paranoid  icon_biggrin

Excellent link though. It makes you think and makes you laugh.

They aren't joking in that article when they say it is the best fighter ever.
I've had it for maybe 3 years now and I'm only good with maybe 2 of the fighters.
I hope Virtua Fighter 5 is as good. And that there isn't a superior VF5:Evo that comes out soon after. Because then I'll have wasted my money.

There should be an asterisk by #1 that says it's permissible for the first 3 months after a system launches because sometimes (for a short while) it can be true.

Of course Hetz, with his sly n' winky PS3 reference, is confusing "no good games for the system" with "not enough good games for the system." I haven't seen anyone say there are *no* good games for the PS3. We all know there is one. Right now I'm not finding it hard to exercise a little pecuniary resistance.

well, you see, since there are no games currently out for the PS3 that I want to play, and since there are no game that I want to play that must mean none of them are good, and since I am the center of the universe, there are truely 'no good games' for the PS3.  icon_twisted

In relation to boxes/manuals and other stuff, I don't consider that snobbery.  Resale value is *VERY* important for me, and not having the "fixins" can have a significant impact on resale value.

For example someone on this forum was selling a press/review copy of a game, they wanted $23+Ship for it, since it was a press/review version and had no box/manual, etc.  I was willing to pay $15 max because the resale is extremely low on that, not to mention they got it free anyway. (I've seen it for $20-29 sealed new elsewhere anyway). Generally, if someone is missing case/manual, I expect about another $5-$8 off the product.  Thats not snobbery, thats good business.

Actually, I would refuse to pay more than $20 for a game which is out as a 'greatest hits'.  I could care less about the little red banner.

But, according to the article, I'm not a snob  Tongue
