Sailing (ala Master & Commander)?

I'm getting a slew of cool companion books and the novels of Patrick O'Brian for X-Mas this year, and I'm curious if there are any games that would go well with the books. Does a sailing game even exist that covers mostly the time period of the early 1800s? Not really looking for strategy games such as Empire Total War or Napoleon Total War, as I stink at the turn-based part. Your help is most appreciated!

East India Company
? Probably not what you're looking for but most games for that era seem to be trading and/or pirate type games.
If you're looking for a simulator, maybe
Virtual Sailor
with some
tall ships
added.

the closest I can think of would be the old Sea Dogs games, or maybe Age of Sail 2.

Since Pirates of the Sea MMO is now free-to-play (I don't know if it's that era per se, maybe it's from the 1700s instead?), might be worth checking out. At its core, I found it no harder to play than an FPS, although to get good at it requires a bit more keyboard jockeying.

Sea Dogs was the one I was thinking, but couldn't remember the name.
