Sacred 2 - Anyone had any luck running this in Windows 7?

Been looking for a hack-n-slash, and decided to give S2 another shot.  However, it looks like this thing has major issues running in Windows 7.  I've tried all the fixes that have been recommended (switching to SP2 compatability, adding the "-skipopenal -nocpubinding" tags, running as administrator, etc.), yet it still stutters like crazy and crashes after about 5 minutes.

Just curious if anyone has been able to get it running.  Pissed if I just flushed $20 down the crapper.

No problems at all running this with Win 7.  I don't have any suggestions for you because it just works...at least on my system.

I'd recommend putting an actual link in there so we can see what you've tried    since said link doesn't work right now, have you tried any of this?

Runs fine here on Win 7 and even added the extra texture pack looks good.

Seems very hit and miss.  Will try re-installing and see if that makes any difference (doubt it)

I seem to remember the official forums have some technical solutions for peoples issues that worked well for me

Works fine for me, no issues.  Win7/64 ATI 5850.

Wouldn't even load up for me on Windows 7/64 with an nVidia GTX 560 Ti.

I had trouble getting it to work. No text in buttons, etc. Sorry I don't remember what I did, but I played it for 20 minutes and realized it just didn't hold up well and haven't played it again.

FWIW, it runs fine on both my Windows 7 laptop and my Vista 64 desktop with the expansion installed also.
