As with Age of Empires 2 and Age of Mythology, an enhanced version of Rise of Nations is coming to Steam next month.

Rise of Nations is one of my all-time favorite RTS games.  Territorial control, army formations, supply lines and attrition, great wonders -- it took concepts that had been introduced in games like Age of Empires and Empire Earth and refined them to levels those games hadn't reached after multiple iterations.  It had a wonderful skirmish AI, as well as a dynamic Risk-like global domination campaign, plus a bunch of really inventive modes I haven't seen replicated anywhere since.  One of my favorites was called "Assassination" in which every faction was limited to attacking one assigned enemy until they were exterminated, forcing everyone to press forward on one front while securing their rear from whoever was after them.

I just hope the woefully under-appreciated Rise of Legends is waiting in the wings next.  It's actually quite a different game, full of steampunk technology, Arabian magic, and ancient alien revenants, but I loved it just as much!

I always forget that Rise of Legends is the one I really liked.

Steam's fine if you're comfortable using that.  You guys can just make it $10.  You can chalk it up to me sharing my love for the game.  Anyone interested in the last one for $10?

I'll take the last one if it's still available.  I'll send the $ through Steam.

If it's a hassle, I'll send a PM with my paypal email.  Now that I think about it, I think the last time I sent a steam wallet gift card code.  I'll send Roguetad the last copy in a minute.

From poking around, I think it incredibly may not be possible to gift Steam credits, other than buying Steam gift cards on Amazon in set amounts.  Let's go with paypal or Amazon gift card, whichever you prefer.

Thanks Hrothgar!  I'll PM you a steam wallet code tomorrow.  Need to stop by BB or gamestop.  I played a lot of RoN when it first came out.  Awesome game.
