Yes, my Xbox Driv3r Review is now up.  My final score sits between IGN/Gamespot/Gamespy's and 1Ups reviews.

I personally think this is a big case of untapped potential.  They could have had more missions (the game is insanely short and linear), tightened up controls while on foot, fixed graphical errors while you drive (draw-in at different distances, framerate fluxuation) and help the game purely from a gameplay perspective.  The look and feel are there (the CG movies are pheonmenal as are the voiceovers and damage/destruction physics), but the gameplay and glitches just overcome anything that is great about this game.

This is one of my longest reviews yet as I have a lot to say.  I'm glad I rented the game, that's for sure.  Questions and comments are welcome.

Nicely done review. Kinda surprised to see it rated so...high though.
However, looking over it, it was a fair review. It looks pretty, sounds nice, and plays like crap.

I always feel a bit frustrated when I play a game I feel has a lot of potential, but doesn't fulfill it, because some things simply weren't seen through.

Shame about Driver 3. You would think, if Atari really banked on this title, that they'd actually make sure it has that high quality sheen. No doubt the marketing department will do its job, since I've seen more than a few nice ads for this title. Nevertheless, it's a damn shame the actual product itself is lacking.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I just hope they fix up some of this stuff for the PC port.  As much as I love driving games and really wanted this one, I just can't pay for a broken game like this.  What a waste of potential.

You expect Atari to fix this crap for a PC port? Personally, I expect the PC port to be a simple port of the Xbox version, possibly with the addition of mouse controls. I don't expect anything as far as bug fixes go.

Atari games have always been hit-and-miss as far as publishing goes. For every UT2004, we have a Temple of Elemental Evil (which wasn't 'allowed' to be patched, even though the patch was ready).
