Dafones, this release is a little different. It's shipping tomorrow, where most games ship today and are in stores on Tuesday. The earliest this will be in stores is Wednesday.

I'm not a big horror game fan, but this one certainly looks interesting. Glad I (re)bought a Gamecube last week.
It'll be interesting to see how long my vow to finish KotOR2, Paper Mario 2, and Baten Kaitos before picking up another game holds up.

I thought that this franchise was dead. Boy was I wrong, the reviews look awesome. The last game was so so, and I htought they called it quits. I guess they had it planned all along. A 9.6 is outstanding. Thats a high as halo2 got so I certainly hope this will be as good or better (hopefully better) than that.

BAH the forum effect has me at a fevered pitch! As I noted earlier, this wasn't even on my radar and now it's all I want to play. Why did they do a different release schedule for this one game???? (Wed instead of Tues in stores)

Well guys, I hate to be the target of your spite and envy, but the game is in my grubby little hands. Hats off to my local EB, who had the game ready when the store opened - you boys did me proud.
I'll start up an impressions thread – if no one else beats me to it - sometime this evening, after I get a chance to play. Maybe for once we'll have a real impressions thread, started with actual impressions. Blasphemy!

Well, have played about 2 hours or so, and it is quite good. I especially like the effect that weapons have on the baddies. Something totally cool about waiting for a bunch to come in close enough that one shotgun blast throws about 4 of em back about 10 feet. And shoot one in the head, oh my.
As for the story, it is getting more and more interesting. I also like how you can buy weapons and equipment and even purchase upgrades to existing equipment. Kinda makes it an rpg-lite.
Awesome awesome game. Worth buying a Game Cube for? Absolutely.
