Here is the first screenie for the upcoming ranbow six vegas

That doesn't look like a screenshot.  Looks like concept art.  The legs of the rightmost Raindbow Six guy look way too much like hand drawn 3d, not real time rendered 3d.  Same with the terrorists on the right side of the picture.

Edit: You do mean to suggest this is an actual, in-game screenshot, right?

From what I read it's a screenshot from the newest Rainbow Six for next gen consoles.  This Ghost Recon 3 on the 360  :twisted:

The screenshots do look good, prime examples of next gen consoles.

However, it seems like they're going in the direction of Lockdown, which I hope bombed at retail.  I mean, rainbow was all about going to many locales around the world with its international team.  I don't see how they would be limited to just marching around Vegas unless some massive terrorist organization setup camp and turned it into an open warzone.

I could forgive this is they kept some of the squad control and planning.

But on the whole, they really should just create a new franchise for this instead of using the rainbow name.

Maybe there is some big worldwide get together of world leaders in Vegas and Rainbow Six is put on security detail.  It could be set during the Clinton administration..... remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas  :wink:

I was hoping it was some April fools joke. Name just seems lame for a RS game.

I could see a SWAT: Vegas but not RS.

Maybe the team is on a gambling vacation and its interupted by some baddies so they go into action  :?

Maybe they are cashing in on the recent poker craze.  We can play mini-games of Texas Hold'Em and Blackjack in between shooting terrorists in the head.

I am a little suspicious of the whole game being in Vegas, but those "screenies" look awesome. Next gen can certainly create those images, but the question I guess is whether it will actually look anything like that in motion.

I thin GRAW will give us a good idea of what RS:V will look like in action (hopefully).

I'm actually onboard with the one location idea.  Should let them have a better story and a more cohesive feeling.  Plus, Vegas is a great place to do the idea since there is so much diversity in the environments.

Ubisoft has been one of the best at pushing current gen consoles so I'm pretty confident that technical skill will continue into the next generation.
