Guys,

I haven't found any kind of setting and I am guessing it isn't present, but I will ask anyway. Is there any way to start up the 360 and have it not load a game in the drive? I usually keep a game in there from time to time if I am concentrating on that retail game. Sometimes though I just want to start up the 360 and play some live arcade games. I then have to let the game start loading and hit the button to escape out of it.

Nope, but if you have the media remote you can use the Win-Media button to start up the system and go into the Media Section.

How I deal with this is when the Xbox 360 is booting up and the game already in the drive starts to load, I hit the middle silver Button (???) and then hit the Y button and select the 360 desktop. This will stop the loading of the game but allow you to keep it in the drive.

Then if you want to start the game again from the 360 desktop, just open and close the drive by remote with the controller. This works for me.  smile

Or you could just select the "play game" option on the dashboard.

Yeah, that's what I do now. I was just curious if there was a setting to bypass loading the game.

if you press the 'open drawer' button instead of the power button, the console will start up, but since the disc is ejected, you'll go to your dashboard.  that's about the only thing i can offer besides clicking the button on the media remote.

Another tip - if you have the 360 remote control, you can press the windows media button on it to boot into the blades without opening up the disc tray.

FYI, in one of Major Nelson's radio shows he mentioned that this is one of the most requested new features for the blades, and said they were working on putting into an update in the near future.
