Hadn't heard about this. Looks kind of interesting - some kind of mix between first person, over the shoulder and 3rd person. Although I wish they would just make another game like Everything or Nothing with an original story.

looks good, but I'm guessing it will be on the short side, so it'll be either a rental or bargain bin game for me.

It's Treyarch developing this right?  Are they using COD4 engine for this too?

I heard somewhere that they're using the COD4 engine.  The combat in the Xbox Live trailer also looked reminiscent of The Bourne Conspiracy, which I think was rather underrated.  I'd like for Quantum of Solace to be a quality game, but so far I haven't been impressed with graphics I've seen and I'd hate for it to be just another shooter.  We have enough generic shooters on the market.  But I still remain cautiously optimistic as I would really enjoy a James Bond game set in the current universe.

I played the Bourne demo and was underwhelmed by the quicktime boss battles and the horrid driving level.  I'm still eyeballing picking up Stranglehold.  I'll be giving the QoS demo a look.

I was also underwhelmed by the Bourne demo, but I felt the final game was far more playable and of much higher quality.  While the driving level felt a bit tacked-on, the rest of the game played very well and the combat was brutal.  At first I thought the quicktime button presses were difficult to handle, but over time they just seemed to work with what the game was trying to do, which was provide a feeling of having that "sixth sense" like Jason Bourne.  I enjoyed it enough to play through from start to finish never once loading up another game until it was completed.

With the PeteRock seal of approval  Fabulous , I may have to put it in for GameFly.  Gran Turismo just isn't cutting it.

I don't necessarily feel that the game is worth $60 as it is somewhat short, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the everloving hell out of beating the absolute crap out of enemies.  And even when I had an opportunity to take them out with a rifle from a distance I'd instead bum-rush them before they could get a shot off so that I could engage in hand-to-hand combat as it was far more fun and sickeningly and brutally satisfying.   icon_twisted

As a GameFly rental it is definitely worth your time.  I continue to go back to play the boss battles from time to time for the sheer brutality and to show friends how much damage you can do with a microwave, a sink full of water, and a textbook.
