You can't view your trophies online?

Do you mean through your web browser?

I don't think so.

But I'm not 100% sure... paranoid

Remember how everyone has been saying how XBOX 360 and XBL are the for more complete and well thought out gaming experience?   You're experiencing that now.

I've loved the games I've played on PS3, but it's a step down interface and bells and whistles-wise from the 360...It just takes some getting used to.

How are you supposed to compare e-peens if people just have to take your word for it?

If they are your friend they can see it on your profile in the XMB

The 360 and Live are LIGHTYEARS ahead of the PS3 in these areas IMHO.

Lately I have been struggling to find a reason to turn on my PS3.  I was hoping Resistance 2 would do it.  I rented Farcry 2 on the PS3 just because I want something to play on it and from what I've heard performance is similar to the 360 version..

Well, there's always this: http://www.ps3-trophies.com/en/gamercard.html

Or you can let us know what your "handle" (or whatever in the heck it is called) is on the PSN so people can send Friend invites your way.

I saw those ps3 cards and was amazed that you had to manually put in what game you are playing and what trophies you've earned. Anyway, I am teggygah, same as on Live.

It might.

I hadn't looked at it too closely. But it does look kind of interesting.

It's a fansite, nothing with any official support, hence the manual aspect.

Still, I don't understand why there is nothing official online out there. You can see your gamer icon, tagline, friends list (etc) at PlayStation.com, why not a trophy display?  icon_confused

All I know is that I spend waste enough time online as it is, the last thing I want to do is browse my or others' trophies.  I am enjoying the trophies a little though.  It isn't so much an e-peen thing, I just like the little "woohoo" feeling I get when a trophy pops up in the top corner of my screen.  That's about as far as it goes with me.

Trophies/Achievements, done well, can add to a game.  But, I can't imagine doing anything like grinding just to get more points/trophies.

They're still in the process of revamping the whole playstation website.  It was only a few weeks ago that they did away with the Underground accounts and had everyone log in via their PSN account.  Sony's pretty slow about this sort of stuff, they definitely didn't have the experience MS has in making websites and networks.
