Anyone able to get this to download? It craps out just 4% in when trying to update from the PS3 and only get's to ~10% when trying to download it to my laptop from the link below.

It took my about 2 hours to get it last night. It kept doing this to me.

Increases security of the PS3 console, and increases compatibility with PS1 games.

Oh, wait, that's what the PSP upgrades do. biggrin

Question for all of you who upgraded - can you check the store and see if the Folklore demo is still up to download? If so, I'll upgrade (as you have to be fully patched to hit the store). If not, I'll wait for a good reason to patch.

Bummer... Still cant update as of this morning. Stops at 4% and then errors out after a bit. Not a great first impression of a $500 console if you ask me.

Bah, come on now man, this is one problem with one update, hardly worth damning the entire console over. Besides, the system itself isn't to blame here, it's the server capactiy that is to blame.

Updated mine last night in about five minutes    icon_smile

Apparently it fixes the problem I was having since updating to FW 1.92 - disconnects on the PSN then giving you an error when you try to sign in again, thus making you have to reset your console and try again.

So far, it seems fixed!

Took me about 15 minutes total, the download was a little slow, but no problems.
