On the Nintendo Channel, you're able to see playtimes for your Wii games.  To that end, I thought it would be fun to post your top ten most played games and the amount of time played.  Here's mine, along with some notes:

Super Mario Galaxy - 66 hrs. 13 min.  (Sitting at 99 stars for Luigi)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 52 hrs. 33 mins.
Wii Sports - 42 hrs. 28 mins. (This one got a lot of play at first, especially when people came over)
MLB Power Pros. 2008 - 41 hrs. 5 mins. (I'm surprised by this number myself!  I wish they'd make a new one.)
Mario Kart Wii - 38 hrs. 56 mins. (One of the most requested games)
Rock Band 2 - 20 hrs. 47 mins.
Metroid Prime Trilogy - 20 hrs. 29 mins. (I've only had it for two weeks.  Crazy.)
Beatles: Rock Band - 17 hrs. 24 mins.
Animal Crossing City Folk - 15 hrs. 40 mins. (This is primarily my wife's doing.)
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - 14 hrs. 8 mins. (Got to the Fire Temple and quit.)

What are yours?

I hate to say it, but there aren't even 10 games I really enjoy on the Wii. Don't have the system set up right now, so no play times, but here is what i still own:

No More Heroes
Dawn of Discovery
Dokapon Kingdom
Little King's Story
Dead Space Extraction
Battalion Wars 2
Resident Evil 4
Cursed Mountain

The Wii has really under delivered considering the install base. Many games are simply shovelware. Dawn of Discovery is a fantastic niche title, however.

That's a nice feature I didn't know about. I remember trying to figure out how long I played Super Mario Galaxy by adding up all the diary entries.  I also was curious how much I have played my Wii, since I haven't used it often in the 2.5 years I've had it.

1. Super Mario Galaxy, 62 hours 26 minutes
2. Zelda Twilight Princess, 47 hours 24 minutes
3. Zelda Ocarina of Time, 32 hours 50 minutes (stalled on the water temple)
4. Metroid Prime 3, 27 hours 19 minutes
5. Super Paper Mario, 16 hours 27 minutes (stalled at some boss fight)
6. Godfather, 9 hours 9 minutes (didn't care for it, got rid of it)
7. Okami, 6 hours 46 minutes (played quite a ways into the PS2 version, replaced with this version, need to get back to it)
8. Super Metroid, 5 hours 40 minutes (stalled somewhere, need to get back to it)
9. Super Mario 64, 5 hours 16 minutes (don't really like the controls)
10. Wii Sports, 2 hours 38 minutes (would rather play a real game)

One strange thing - I know I have played Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition more than Wii Sports, but it doesn't appear in my list, and in fact, if you search for it, it can't be found in the database. I need to see if there is anything about that out there.

By the way, Lee, you must have burned through SMG. My 62 hours was to get the 120 stars for Mario. Only 4 extra hours and you got 99 stars for Luigi?

Nintendo is sure to catch a lot of flak in this thread but man-that is an awesome feature!  I wish the PS3 did the same.

I guess.  I played a lot of it last year when I was off of work, so maybe that accounts for the time difference.

Well, I wasn't saying that you played it an excessive amount of time, but that you got a lot accomplished in the time you played. Or maybe I was just really bad at it.

Toe Jam & Earl - 15:50 (wife's favorite)
Wii Sports - 5:12
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - 4:10
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 3:04
Wii Fit - 2:57
Metroid Prime: Trilogy - 1:52
Paper Mario - 1:48
Super Mario 64 - 1:10
Super Mario Galaxy - 1:07
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - 0:59

Yeah, basically collecting dust.  I've probably put the most time into RE4, which isn't listed for some reason (M rating, I guess).  And the Internet channel has 169 hours!  I must have left it on for oh, a week, and not realized it.

You did see the two M rated (without a shadow of a doubt, too) games on my list, didn't you?

I don't think Gamecube games counted for the list.

I haven't fired up the Wii or PS3 in a while.

I'm going to guess that Wii Sports and Tiger Woods are over 20 hours each.  But that's about it for me.

Same for me (see above). I did a little searching and best I could find anyone talking about is that some games are just not in the database for some reason. Other Resident Evil games are in there.

I was surprised by those totals too, but then I thought my kids like to play alot too.  The Lega Star Wars and Super Smash Bros. are almost all my kids, and they add alot to Rock Band and Wii Sports too.

Yeah, and my numbers are just me and my wife.  One of the reasons I played Metroid Prime Trilogy so much was to get DDR: Hottest Party 2 out of the top ten. smile

I'm a little late, but was interested to see what I have:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl | 48hrs, 33min / 21 times
Wii Sports | 29hrs, 16min / 32 times
Super Mario Galaxy | 23hrs, 8min / 13 times
No More Heroes | 17hrs, 23min /7 times
Wii Shop Channel | 13hrs, 57min / 38 times
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 | 9hrs, 15min / 8 times
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess | 8hrs, 27min/9 times
WarioWare: Smooth Moves | 5hrs, 34min / 9 times
Internet Channel | 5hrs, 30min / 28 times
BOOM BLOX Bash Party | 4hrs, 45min / 5 times

Taking away non-game entries (Wii Shop Channel and Internet Channel) and I've got:

Everybody Votes Channel | Skipping...
Mii Channel | Skipping...
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption | 3hrs, 16min / 4 times
Mario Kart 64 | 2hrs, 58min / 10 times

My top 4 games are the only games on Wii that have redeemed its purchase.

Wii Fit 8 hours
Wii Sports 4 hours
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn 2 hours

ummm....

yah.

These each had less than an hour of play:
Wii Sports Resort
Resident Evil 4
Super Mario Galaxy
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

So I finally got around to checking this for real:

Wii Fit 6:02 (played 8 times)
Wii Sports Resort 3:12 (played 4 tmes)
Boom Blox Bash Party 1:51
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn 1:43
MySims Agents 1:35
Wii Sports 1:30 (played 3 times)
Zelda: Twilight Princess 1:09
Super Mario Galaxy 1:03

A shade over 18 hours played total over what, 3 years? I don't remember when I got the Wii, it was a little while after Wii Fit came out as I recall. Most of the time on Sports Resort was when I took my Wii into work for a party. Most of the time on Wii Sports was practicing Boxing for a tournament at work.

Wow...only an hour on Galaxy?  You missed out on a great, great game.  However, we just got Wii Fit Plus because my wife was begging for it and we've used it about 3 hours total.  Such a waste of money.

Can't disagree more. Not my kind of game at all. Between that and R&C: Tools of Destruction I've learned that I'm just not a platformer fan anymore.

MySims Agents will get a lot more play for me. It's kiddy cutesy but it has something that I enjoy.

While I don't have a Wii (although I wouldn't mind picking one up sometime for cheap), I wish the other two systems would give you times spent playing their games. Just for the curiosity if nothing else.

That sort of evidence could probably be grounds for divorce in some cases.
