So, what are your 5 most anticipated titles now that E3 has come and gone?

Mine are:

Soon:  Prototype

1) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
2) Just Cause 2
3) Assassins Creed 2
4) The Saboteur
5) Lost Planet 2 / Red Dead Redemption / Alan Wake

E3 was pretty freaking awesome this year in my opinion.  What are you top 5?

I'm interested in all of the ones that have been mentioned so far and a lot of others.  I didn't go crazy watching trailers this week.  Kind of blew my wad on the press conferences.  I may catch some this weekend.

Uncharted 2 would definitely be on my list too if I had a PS3.  I almost put it on there anyway.

Has the budget for games increased dramatically the past year?  Production values appear to have increased two-fold for a lot of these new ones, or maybe I'm just imagining it.

I think it's more that we are now seeing the second gen wave of games for this generation. Developers just know how to do more with the consoles now.

Most teams are now on their second or third generation of titles for this generation so they should really be able to utilize the hardware far more effectively.  And thinking of the improvements Mass Effect 2 is making in that regard I just realized that game belongs near the top of my list.

I'll do games I am now more interested in and have put on my must-have list since watching E3 coverage (since I saw nothing about R&C, for example)

In no particular order:
1) Uncharted 2
2) Splinter Cell Conviction
3) Assassin's Creed 2
4) MAG
5) Modern Warfare 2

I'm certainly interested in a bunch of other games - Alan Wake definitely looks promising, The Saboteur, God of War 3 (I'll definitely get it, but there wasn't much new in the demo other than more gore), Red Steel 2. I'll also be watching Split/Second, that has an interesting premise. Maybe Mod Nation Racers. The MP teaser trailer for Bad Company 2 looks really good as well.

You know, maybe a more interesting question would be which new IPs are people most interested in?

Actually I didn't think E3 was that exciting this year.  All of my most anticipated games are sequels.  I didn't see any new IPs that got me excited.

1.  Modern Warfare 2
2.  Left 4 Dead 2
3. Assassin's' Creed 2
4.  Crackdown 2
5.  (tie) Bioshock 2/ Madden 10/ God of War 3

Let's hope I don't forget any important ones:

1: Heavy Rain
2: Uncharted 2
3: Assassin's Creed 2
4: The new Monkey Island games (including the remake)
5: Alan Wake

The common denominator for all of the above games is that they are unique in their style and gameplay (yes, even Uncharted 2, mostly because of the way in which it uses story, characters and scenery) except for the Monkey Island games which are in my list because... well, they're Monkey Island! smile

No order

Brutal Legend
Ghostbuster(even though apparently this wasn't shown?)
Scribblenauts
Bayonetta
Mass Effect 2. Looks much improved over the first. Especially if the elevator sim is gone and the planets aren't barren worthless waste lands making you want to smash your control in your face from trying to drive the mako, because in the future you can travel across the galaxy in an instant but you can't make a vehicle that doesn't control like shit.

* Crackdown 2

* Dragon Age

* Left 4 Dead 2

* Uncharted 2

* Beatles Rock Band

Would that they were there:

* Starcraft 2

* Gran Turismo 5

* Diablo 3 (My most anticipated game, possibly ever)

Hmm top 5 is tough since there were so many good games. Halo: ODST looks really cool, Homefront might stomp on Call of Duty, Disciples III was pretty pimp, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 rocked, R.U.S.E was an extremely fresh take on the RTS genre... Very difficult to choose just five slywink

So like, instead of l4d2. Can i get episode 3 please? Ya know. the sequel to a game of like 2 years ago or something? You kinda left it on a major cliff hanger. Be nice to see it.

in relation to games we wish were there.

they have to wait for Portal 2 to be done so they can bundle it together.  I wonder if they'll add in another game so they can replicate the Orange Box, like Counterstrike Source 2 or Day of Defeat Source 2.

Portal also came out at the same time. No excuse to have anything done in two years. I'm starting to feel completely screwed, more so cause of the cliff hanger and it seems like no media outlet is asking questions about it.

I couldn't careless how they release the thing, just give us the ending already.

I'm pretty sure that the L4D team is different from the Half Life team so I doubt one effects the other too much.

the last official word on Episode 3.    I'm thinking they are right unless Valve pulls a complete surprise release.  who knows, maybe L4D2 costs full price is because Episode 3 will be bundled in with it  icon_wink

in all reality, the Orange Box did so well I'd be surprised if they weren't trying to get stuff together to replicate it's success.  also, consider how long they took to release HL2 and the fans still snapped it up; I'm sure they're not worried about taking too long.
